From a 12 oz bottle.

Dark purplish red with a light white head that retains a film.

Smells of raspberries, naturally, and also a bit citrusy.

The taste is fruity, mixed berries beyond the raspberries. Good grain tones underneath.

Mouthfeel is smooth and just a tad syrupy.

A good fruit beer. Worth trying if you're interested in a fruit beer but not so much in the sweetness of Belgian fruit lambics.

This beer poured out as a pinkish looking color with very little head on top. The smell of the beer wasn't tart or overly sweet smelling. I was very surprised at how mellow the nose was. The taste of the beer was like a raspberry infused tea to me. I wasn't really sure if this is really how this was supposed to be or not. The flavors are just as mellow as the nose in this brew. The mouthfeel was on the light and watery side. Overall this beer was just very different than what I expected. It's not bad but it might not be what you're looking for.

Very fizzy at first, looks like seltzer bubbles. Dingy tea-like brown with a drip of vermilion in there. Foamy cauldron subsides into a bare skim, but upward streams of bubbles are constant. Hazy, dirty with suspended sediment.

Smells malty with a touch of raspberry soda or gummy candy sweetness.

Tastes malty like a Biere de Garde, with some fruity candy notes in the background. Very light tartness, nowhere near Lambic levels. Toward the end of the glass it takes on more unsweetened juice character. Started out fizzy, but flattened out. Glad I got the 33cL bottle and not the 750.

33cl bottle into my Orval glass...The beer pours an ugly murky pink/purple, without much head, light carbonation...The aroma is a really nice sweet candy raspberry, a sweet fruit but lacking a bit in complexity...The taste is let down, light sweet to start with raspberries displaying but then there is a flat, wood, grain alochol finish the ruings it..The feel is light, not easy to drink.

Smells great, but that's it, a fruit beer not worth drinking.

Pours a ruddy amber, with some haziness. About a finger of soapy head settles into just a thin attache at the edge of the glass, with little to no lacing. Nose is huge with, as you guessed, raspberries and a touch of Lambic leather. Very crisp and tangy like a bowl of crushed cherries and raspberries. Flavor fills your mouth with some kind of expanding creaminess. Not nearly as tangy or fuity as I expected. In actuality, it's a tad thin. Finish is long and carries a tad bit of sourness, but not as much as I'd like in my framboise Lambics. This expanding creaminess, punctuated by the tiny bubbles of carbonation, make this a beautiful drink, but the thin flavor keeps it from being excellent. A little on the expensive side, too, at $5.49/11.2oz. bottle. Worth trying if you see it, but not worth tracking down.

Dark reddish brown in color. Very nice head, about an inch and a half, on the pour. Smell is raspberries, some vinous qualities, and some acidic notes as well.
It has a good mouthfeel. But there is a slight metallic flavor in the taste. Some very weak raspberry and hints of cherries. If it was bigger and more tart it would be better. This comes across very watered down.

Wow. All I can say is, What happened to my bottle? Smell is heavy with cooked vegetables - carrots and peas. Overwhelmingly disgusting and leads to a drainpour.

Accidents happen, and the reviews for this beer seem quite good, but at over 10.00 a bottle, I feel mistakes must be mentioned when they occur.

I've tried to be fair with other aspects of this beer, but the smell was the worst I have have ever experienced in a beer.

330ml bottle. 05.07.09.

It pours a brownish raspberry color with no head.

The smell is raspberry sorbet mixed with some brown sugar.

The flavor is much like finnish raspberry licorice. It has some herbs/spices including fennel and anise along with some caramel malt and raspberries.

Not my cup o tea though.
