Poured a deep amber to a delicate white head with a slight cloudyness. Smell almost resembles tamarind, spicy and fragrant, quite a bouquet. Tastes just as it smells, spicy with an aftertaste that resembles tamarind, very complex with no offensive undertones. Very little carbonation and an aromatic finish make this a very nice christmas beer. (344 characters)

I'm trying to figure out how they stuff so much beer into this little bottle. First impression is fluffyness, and malt, caramel malt, caramel coated oat rings on a bed of beet greens. There is an odd, distracting, seemingly industrial mix of bitter saccharine that wants you to ignore the rural reduction that flows so easily. Free yourself and embrace it. (356 characters)

Unbelievably crystal clear and oranged gold, this beer has pistine clarity and shocking glow. With it comes a soft, scruffy head piling up well and showing wall-to-wall lace through out the session. Just a gorgeous display of color and foamy eye candy

Smell is thick, sweet, doughy, long boiled, aromatic pale malt - just juicy and full of pure malt aroma. For complexity, hints of dried herbs and a faint fruitiness linger though that gargantuan pale malt dominates. The thickness, sweetness, and clarity is startling and makes my head spin with beery dreams.

Tastes of nutty, crunchy pale malts with some high-kiln complexity and balanced by chewable continental hop oils. Very light fruitiness support the whole and fails to balance the strong mineral presence in the finish. General impression is full pale malts with a textured sweetness and slight nutty character that balances any simple boredom. Almost tart and chalky notions long after swallowing to further paint on the pale canvas.

A gorgeous biere de garde with a multitude of aroma and a variety of flavors in each bottle. Fascinating to age and a supreme value for the price conscious. Huge thank you to the three gentlemen who introduced me to this beauty - I only thought the Ambree existed. (1,267 characters)
