Bottle: quality 330mL brown bottle, awesome 'old school' label... even the bottle cap is sweet.

Appearance: looks just like a wheat beer should - mid straw-amber with a couple of fingers of decent off-white fluffiness. The head drops away fairly quickly to a solid cap and sporadic lacing.

Aroma: pretty top notch - the citrus and wheat are definitely there - lemon, orange, spices and banana.

Taste: lovely, lovely subtle wheat and spice flavours. Lovely!

Aftertaste: drops away fairly quickly - just some sweet wheat and citrus remains.

Mouth feel: a fairly smooth, moderate body with a fine yet mouth-filling carbonation.

Overall: one of the better witbiers I have had to date - well-balanced with citrus, Belgian yeast, citrus and spices. Not too bad for AU$85 a case either.

Hazy, pale gold colour, off white head which eventually reduced but left plimsoll lines. Gentle aroma of yeast, coriander, vanilla, citrus and sherbert. low bitterness. Smooth, creamy, medium body with a hint of zest and spice in the finish. very, very, drinkable.

Hazy pale gold colour with a big, fluffy white head. Good head retention.

Big coriander and orange aroma. Not bad. Slightly malty. Quite impressive.

Very slightly malty with a touch of sweetness. Lightly carbonic. Coriander and light citrus. Yeast character could be stronger.

Medium-light body with moderately high carbonation. Not bad.

An okay Witbier. Aroma is better than it tastes but on the whole I can't complain.

330ml bottle. Best before 2 Jun 2015. Hazy, pale gold colour with a generous, off white head which eventually reduced but left plimsoll lines. Gentle aroma of yeast, coriander, vanilla, citrus and sherbert. Low / medium sweetness, low bitterness. Smooth, creamy, medium body with a hint of zest and spice in the finish. Not the boldest expression of a witbier but very, very, drinkable. 7.

330ml bottle poured into a Trappistes Rochefort goblet...

A- golden with a fair white head that dissipates into a thin layer of foam.

S- floral and a bit hoppy. does not put off much of an aroma.

T- a bit tangy with nice effervescence that lingers to the finish. Nice wheat with floral notes. Not much body, but nice on the taste buds. the finish has something that lingers well on the back of the tongue.

MF- really good mouth feel. Just the right amount of carbonation and a nice dry finish.

O- Pretty good example of a witbier for an Australian microbrew. I would have this beer again and would recommend giving it a try.

On tap at the brewery.

Pours a dull, pale, hazy golden colour with a pillowy white head of foam. Decent retention.

Smell is very strong, coriander is the big player here along with some orange peel and cumin.

Taste has a small fraction of the coriander that is in the nose, instead being very yeasty to the point where this rules out all other lighter flavours.

Mouthfeel is thin early, then finishes with a big yeasty kick that has this being more of a slow sipper than a refreshing summer wit.

Not delicate, the smell and flavours are definitely on the brutal side for the style. Not super sessionable either.

Pours a cloudy pale straw with a massive head of medium finely stacked white bubbles. Nice. head fades (it has to) - little lace.

Aromas of yeast.

Taste is dry/sour, quite bitter, with citrus, sherbert and yeast notes dominating.

Mouthfeel good, quite carbonated. Starts to pucker after a while with dryness.

Overall, quite good, but up against some much better Wits in class.

Nearly but not quite. Looks good; big white fluffy head and slightly murky bright orange. Aromas are simple, a touch sweet but effctive with orange lollies and sherbet. Palate simplifies further with fizz and a confectionary orange / citrus note. Thickens slightly on the finish. Nice enough, super friendly, but hard to take seriously.

A: Meets all the key aspects of a wit in my book. Very light pale malt with haze from yeast and wheat. Good carbonation and head retention.

S: Lacking the phenolic and spice notes I like to see for this style.

T: Quite dry and seems a little over attenuated, which takes away some of the creaminess which can come from the wheat in these types of beers. No orange, coriander or hop flavours clearly present.

M: A bit puckering from the light body and dry mouthfeel. High carbonation levels also accentuate this.

D: This type of beer needs to be sessionable, I found this one a bit too dry for my pallet but I will try another few bottles and look for the freshest I can get my hands on. This stuff needs to be consumed as young as possible as wit beer never ages well.

Cheers,

Liam

quick break from starcraft 2 to review this

A: loads of head, thins out quite quickly but retention is good. The beer itself is a hoegaarden/pineapple juice colour.

S: Big note of orange, then cloves (coriander). The orange is fresh and vibrant. Sulfur in the back

T: Spices/coriander, and then a bit of orange in the back.

M: Not amazed.

D: Another expensive beer, I guess it's drinkable in the sense that you could down quite a few but it's not really that enjoyable.

330 ML poured into a SA Perfect Pint

A-- Cloudy pineapple color, almost opaque. Lots of small bubbles with this and a cotton ball white head. Got a good finger and a half of head and sticky lacking and nice sized bubbles in the head.

S-- Faint orange and pineapple in this, a little dry so a bit of honey in this as well. Not nearly as orange as other types in this. Smells tropical after it gets warm and banana does come out after warming

T-- Pineapple and orange in this but not as much orange as others. Has a bit of a sweet quality to this. Curacao and Coriander are very soft and almost hidden in this. Once it warms up lemon appears more.

M-- Finishes quite dry. Also finishes a little sour after it warms up a bit. Well carbonated and fairly lively to me. Does get a bit of a pucker from the lemon but would like a little less pucker in this and more honey.

D-- Not that great after it gets warm. Becomes too sour at that point. Cold it is pretty good. Like how it is more of a tropical version of a Wit. Good for a change of pace but not sessionable as it would get tiresome quickly and once warm this beer becomes too sour and too tropical. Worth trying and would be interested in trying on tap.

This pours a hazy honey golden with a finger of fluffy white head. Some lacing.

Some spiciness (coriander) and citrus comes through on the palate. Touch of ester comes through.

For me the palate was dominated by an orange flavour. Some spiciness again. Nice.

High carbo.

A nice beer but not really sessionable.

Cloudy pale straw pour, good sized head, good persistence.
Artificial lemon and wheat make up most of the aroma. Really lacking.
Flavours are similar with some unpleasant clinging wheat and more of the sweet lemon. Not impressed.
Too much carbonation, too watery.
