Bottle to stein.

A: nice hazy orange, lots of carbination bubbles, big chunky white head.

S: not much at all. little yeast, earth. slight, slight hints of bananna.

T: Wheat and yeast, followed by quite a lot of hops on the back end. Picked up a bit of bananna and spice has it warmed.

M: Medium-light body, nice carbination, bitter lingering finish.

O: lacking any big Hefe flavors no spice, little bananna. What you get is wheat and hops.

22 ounce bomber bottle, without any freshness information.
Pours cloudy darker apricot in color, able to show off just a minor off white head, and leaves again just minor fine lacing. Fruity but faint nose, with hints of melon, mango, bananas. On the palate the fruits come through again, bananas mostly with some tropical notes of mango. Drinkable and pleasant enough, but we are not talking about anything here much beyond a middle of the road and uninspiring take on the style (479 characters)

Bottle @ BevMo, gave it a try. Pours cloudy yellow with a puffy white head. Cereal, lemon, and metallic aroma. Watery banana and clove flavors, with more wheat and grain tastes than expected. tastes more like a rough American wheat than a German hefe. (251 characters)

On tap at Hyatt Vineyard Creek. Yellow colour with an off-white head, some lace. Easy mouthfeel, bulked up by caramel, although felt like gelatin. Some spices and wheat in aroma, though only a bit. Decent drinking beer,a little lemon citrus and hops, although on weak side for the style. Drying. (295 characters)

Cheers to my friend Eric for lugging this all the way from Cali!

Pours a hazed peach with 3+ fingers of rocky ivory head. The haze never really clears, zero head retention & lacing

S: Apples & other orchard fruits as this warms

T: Fruits from the orchard, a touch of grainyness & slight boozeyness up front. Some cloves & white pepper shine through as this warms along with pears & apples, as well as some citric hops. Finishes fruitty, semi-crisp, more so from the apple taste

MF: Medium bodied with subdued carbonation, but enough that it it hides the ABV.

Drinks alright, an okay, not good stab at the style (616 characters)

Cloudy amber colored beer with a tall white colored head.

Smell is sweet and herbal with a cut grass aroma. Soda cracker malt aroma.

Starts out a little sweet with a little nutmeg taste. Little bit of caramel and absolutely no clove or banana. Not much taste.

Mouthfeel is OK.

Overall this is blah. No reason for anyone to ever buy this. (341 characters)

22oz bottle.

Poured a medium and slightly hazy golden color with a larger sized (4+ finger), frothy white head. Aromas of bananas, some spiciness, and lighter wheat. Spiced banana chips. Tastes of bananas (lots more than in the aromas), fruitiness, and I was getting apple juice. Thinner and flatter (from the large head, the flatness was a surprise) body. This one was kinda of weird. The aromas and tastes really didin't match each other either. (448 characters)

A rather strange version of Hefeweizen. Cloudy amber in the pint glass. An odd and slightly perfumey odor that is hard to pin down. First sip hinted at some sort of sourness, but I guess it's just a fruity flavor. Fairly bitter and murky. I don't detect any of the usual esters or spice notes. Average mouthfeel and carbonation. Whatever this is, I won't be trying it again.

On tap at the Salted Pig in Riverside, Calif. (421 characters)

A- Hazy Straw slightly orange with large white head that diminished to a smaller 1/3cm sized head leaving no lacing. I really enjoy the way this looks initially

A- Slight banana aroma.

T- Wheaty grainy taste. Little of the aroma is tasteable in the beer.

M- Medium body with moderate-high carbonation. Left my mouth kindof dry after each sip.

D- It wasn't too expensive, but I think there are other hefeweizens that are much better. Decent for a warm day, but nothing too interesting. (488 characters)

On tap at Congregation Ale House in Pasadena, CA.

Pours a murky orange with a foamy orange-tan head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Thin streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, wheat, and some fruity aromas. Taste is much the same with a fruity flavor on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer but this is in no way a take on the traditional German hefeweizen. (573 characters)

Poured into a weizen glass. Hazy apple juice color with a full 4 fingers of head. Unimpressive lacing, good retention.

Banana is the most prominent aroma, followed by off-notes of metal and burning plastic. It got so bad with a little warmth that I couldn't finish the bottle.

Wheaty, grainy maltiness in the flavor, nearly pilsener-esque. Little if any of the banana and clove that define the style.

Soft and smooth mouthfeel that finishes clean.

Not very flavorful and misses the mark stylistically. (505 characters)

A: Pumpkin orange with hazy yeast, finger thick head that dissipates quickly into a thin lacing.

S: Sweet Carmel malt with light banana or fruity easters, no hop.

T: Sweet malt with low banana and clove flavor, no hop flavor.

M: Very silky and moderately thick, low carbonation.

D: This beer I enjoy drinking in its own uniqueness, it lacks carbonation which I don't like but overall it's good. Not something I will be craving again. Alc. was 5.3 (451 characters)

Picked up from BEVMO
Poured a deep yellowish, good carbonation and a decent white head. Nose is faint. Some banana, wheat and thats all. Taste was so muted. I almost for got it was a hefe weizen. Mouthfeel is well, it was there but thats it. Not a good hefe, not an average hefe. Avoid. (286 characters)
