Since I probably won't be back in Santa Fe any time soon, I had to decide between the stout or a belgian style ale. I went with the stout for my second brew. Was listed as very hoppy.
A - Nice ruby black with a nice tan head that quickly dissipates.
S - light roasted coffee nose balanced with a rich malty smell. Not much in the way of hops. A nice traditional irish dry stout.
T - mild malt, tasty roasted coffee and a hint of cocao.
M - medium to light bodied brew. Very pleasant from the first taste to last sip.
D - Went very well with the style of food offered!

This stout is a dark, opaque black with big dense, tan head.
Lots of coffee and licorice in the aroma. Some hints of chocolate and vanilla are there too.
Lots of chocolate, expresso, and roasted malts in the flavor. Starts a bit sweet and the finishes dry with a nice hop bite.
Nice full bodied stout, just a little sweet.
