Anything but a typical American Pale, Santa Fe Pale Ale is as full bodied as its most robust English counterparts, while asserting its American origin with a healthy nose resplendent with Cascade and Willamette hops. It finishes with a well-balanced combination of the subtle, almost Pilsner-like maltiness accentuated by the German yeast used to brew this Santa Fe classic, and a hop bite sufficient to leave a lingering smile on the face of any fan of American Pale Ales.

It flowed from the bottle, darker than copper, darker than expected from a pale ale. The svelte head lasted to the bottom of the glass. Only a hint of alcohol met the nose as the glass made its way to the lips. The lips, however, were thankful. Almost creamy and without the sharpness of your run of the mill pale ale. Light malt and even a hint of raspberry give it a well rounded good taste. (raspberry!?!) The finish was indeed abrupt - aburpt as the cliffs in the Santa Fe desert - there one moment and gone the next. The ale went down easy because of its smoothenss as well as its lack of finish. It was off the palete before the glass hit the table, prompting another taste.

Golden bronze color with a decent head.
aroma of malts, fruits and hops.
taste was toasty, fruit notes, malts, mild sweetness and caramel hints.
the feel was well balanced, medium carbonation with a smooth finish like a cream ale.

Nope. No sir. Only a 79? Raul doesn’t believe it. This beer is more 88 to him (the last time LA had the Olympics). That said, he might even go HAM and say this beer is Georgia Olympics and 96! It’s that good! Angela Lansbury may have just bit the dust, but I bet if she drank this thang, she’d still be alive.

Description above nails this beer. Full bodied pale with less then typical amount of hop flavor. Has a very English almost ESB like feel. Not a common Pale, I do really enjoy it.
