The beer pours a dark golden/amber color with a thick frothy off-white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is decent. It has a solid pale, crystal, and Carapils malt scent along with a mild hop nose that showcases piney/floral hop notes. The taste is good. It has a smooth, balanced flavor that boasts of pale and crystal malts. It's complex with just a hint of caramel sweetness. The hop character is mild with a nice piney bitterness and flavor. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a full bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is an enjoyable IPA with lots of character. It's easy drinking with only a moderate hop bitterness.

Poured from the can into a fluted glass.
A- Poured a really nice dark orange color, very clear with lots of streaming carbonation, bright white soapy head left glass-coating lace.
S- Big pungent grapefruit notes, lots of malty sweetness, and some bready notes.
T- Big pungent grapefruit notes, lots of malt sweetness, caramel, bready notes, piney, and herbal notes. Finishes with a moderate to high bitterness.
M- Soft carbonation, medium body, and dry.
O- A pretty good IPA in the crowded IPA market. The hop character is big, but the malt character is surprisingly prominent in this IPA.
