Extra can thrown in on a trade not sure of date. Drank from can so not sure of the appearance but I imagine its fine. Smells very nice with a citrus, pine, yeastiness. Taste has an upfront barnyard with some faint pine but overall not a whole lot of depth. Easily drinkable though. Feels a bit chewier that some of the saisons I've had and leans toward the medium thickness.

Big white head on a well carbonated beer slowly falls above a pale washed out light straw golden colored opaque saison.

Nice spicy lemony aroma with maybe a bit of cloves and banana but nothing really sticks out more than anything else.

Light lemony citrus taste with just a bit of the spiciness of the aroma coming through with this drink.

A light dry aftertaste with a bit of the beers tastes remaining behind with this medium bodied Santa Fe drink.

Decent enough, I wish more of the aroma had been captured in the taste, but what do I know.

Pours straw/bronze color with 3 fingers of cream colored head. Good lacing & slightly above average head retention

S: Breadyness, phenols, clove & pear, plus perfumy hops, pineapple & apple blossom

T: Phenols, cloves, minty hops & pears up front. Pears, phenols, dryness & green apple skins as this warms, a touch of pineapple too. Finishes dry with pears, lemon peel, white pepper, plus a touch of grapefruit

MF: Medium bodied, light carbonation

Easy to drink, fairly true to style, but nothing extreme or outstanding here. Was hoping for a little more from their 25th anny offering, but not a bad Saison, as long as you're not looking for a ton of funk

Thanks to the creator of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a golden/whiteish color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of fruits, some spices. Taste is a bit fruity, a good bit of spice, yeast, pretty tasty. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

Into a diconic,
A very light amber with a bright white fluffy head
Subtle nose, I don't get much but a little citrus
Stringent and spicy (coriander?) Hits the tongue. The signature farmhouse taste comes later.
Clean mouthfeel due to the citrus and spice
Altogether, a nice southwest take on a farmhouse ale.

A steady pour into my New Belgium globe glass produces a two finger thick, pale, off-white colored head. The beer is a golden color that shows a clear, pale-gold hue when held up to the light. The aroma is a nice, light mix of grassy grain, grassy / herbal hops at first blush, but a second take sees me noticing more of a fruity hop character; the latter leans towards lychee, juicy fruit bubble gum (accentuated by the yeast character), candied citrus zest, Meyer lemon, and just an expressively floral, tropical fruit character. The malt character has a wholesome, though supporting, note of pale wheat crackers, and dried straw.

Nicely effervescent and quite light bodied, the beer is definitely meant for quaffing. There is a nice hoppiness here that is restrained in its bitterness, but quite expressive with flavors of lychee, floral citrus notes, guava notes, and quite a bit of peach character. Much of the fruitiness is accentuated by the yeast character which provides a floral fruit edge, as well as some sweet accentuating clove notes, some peppery spice character (also contributed by the hops), as well as some turpene like character in the finish that accentuates the herbal hop bite side of the hop flavors. As the beer warms up the fermentation character becomes more prominent; clove, spicy phenols, white pepper, and perhaps a touch of young ginger are all a bit more noticeable and play a bit more equal footing with the hop character.

Perhaps not the most perfectly executed Saison, but the fact that this is below 6%, is nicely hoppy, quite light, and restrained in all the right ways means I am enjoying this quite a bit more than I was expecting. The yeast character is more clove and phenolic than austere, biting, and musty, so I doubt a Dupont derived yeast strain was used here.

12 oz can. Pours slightly hazy yellow with a monstrous bubbly white head that retains well an leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is earthy yeasty wheaty malts with some spice.

The flavor is sweet bready malts with some spice (coriander, clove) and a little banana. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, an OK beer. More wheat than saison.

Hello, New CANned Beer Sunday! I am proud to be only the second reviewer and the first in the CAN. I am acCANponied by The Old Lady on the Colorado version of The CANQuest (TM) this evening.

From the CAN: "25 years if brewing. 12 ounces of thank you. Enjoy!"

We are across from one another at her kitchen table and the initial Crack not only sent a spurt of liquid flying, but it gave me an opportunity to show her the brimful craft CAN phenomenon. The Glug produced a finger of puffy, bone-white head with decent retention. Color was a slightly hazy pale yellow, SRM = 3. Nose had what I refer to as a musty scent that I find indicative of Saison yeast, however, The Old Lady says spicy and that musty suggests oxidation. I am not postulating oxidation, plus I agree with her on the spiciness which we agree is yeast-driven. Mouthfeel was medium and the taste was of black pepper, which she characterizes as soft, not sharp. Finish had a lime citrusiness along with a cheesiness, like sharp cheddar. I mark it as somewhere between a Biere de Garde and a Saison, but closer to this site's style description of a Saison.
