Stopped in on a Saturday night. It was fairly busy but many tables were still available. The service was fast and friendly.
The beer selection was truly disappointing. They had only two choices. Buffalo Gold and Hefeweizen. That is it. No stouts, porters, IPAs, etc. I've never been to a brewpub that had less than at least 5 or 6 choices. I'm not sure if this is a regular occurrence or a fluke.
At this point we had no desire to have dinner there. They had a full menu that looked interesting. We finished our Hefes and departed.
The beers were in the $4 range. The Hefeweizen was okay.

a neat little spot downtown. small place, weird decor, but pretty tasty beer. sampled each of their 8 beers, and was treated very well by the owner, who gave us free house made potato chips and the new chili beer. the wet hop red was by far their best brew, but all were more than palatable. service was excellent (maybe because the place was nearly empty?). prices were fair and would have stayed for more of a meal if we hadnt just eaten. it doesnt stand out amongst all the great little breweries in st louis, but i will likely end up back here at some point.

Great place near SLU and the Fox Theater, and as mentioned pretty close to 6 row and right next to Pappy's which was featured on Man V Food or one of those food network shows. The beer here is solid and teh specials releases are definately worth checking out. I had an imperial stout and belgian tripel a couple years ago here that still stick in my mind as some of the best ever. The food is quite tasty as well, the staff has always been very polite and knowledgeable. It's not a huge place, but just big enough for the trafic it gets.

(Visited 11/2010): Buffalo Brewing is located on the south side of St. Louis, on the corner of Olive and Compton next to Pappy's. There is some street parking around, and a lot behind the building.
The interior is one big room so it has an open feel. The bar is on the right side, with a large buffalo head mounted behind it, and it offers a partial view of the brewing equipment. Table seating takes up the remainder of the space. Aside from the animal head, the motif is salmon colored with a western theme.
Buffalo has 5 beers on tap and offers samples of all. On my visit they had Buffalo Drool, British Pale Ale, Red, Rye IPA and a Hefe. All the beers are average to above average. I didn't notice any bottled beers and am not sure if they serve any.
Service was decent on a weekday afternoon. The bartender was knowledgeable about the beers they carry and friendly enough.
I did not have any food on this visit.
Overall this is a good spot to hit that is not too far from Six Row. Worth checking out in a STL beer tour.

A brewpub walking distance from SLU- why oh why did this place open after I graduated and left town? Anyway, I’m back now and will be coming here a lot. Came here for the first time when I saw that Buffalo Head would be on cask and the new Lupulin was released. Both were tasty, as were the other two beers I had before these were tapped. The food is good, and a very good value compared to other local brewpubs. The servers were super friendly and the place was well-staffed. The atmosphere is good because of the friendly people all around; the room itself is a little too new to have a ton of character. Nice shaded patio with porch in front. Right next door to the awesome Pappy’s Smokehouse, and proximity to Chaifetz Arena is a huge plus.

This is a small brewpub with a decent atmosphere. Although it is small there is a good use of space. I would hate to see it when it was busy. I am sure it doesn't get busy too. It is the building as St. Louis's most popular BBQ joint that also doesn't serve beer and beer and BBQ go together as we all know. Buffalo is where to have to go to fix that craving. The staff is pleasant and know their beers. Selection is alright they don't have a lot but it is an average selection. I did not try the food because I had just ate at Pappy's but it did smell good.

Stopped by on a trip to St. Louis while doing my brewery run. Glad we stopped for lunch because the food is great! A must try for food and a beer. The beers were good but not that good. A few attempts at wheat beers and a few other light body drinkable beers. Not many to try and the waitress was not very knowledgeable of the beers. She had a hard time explaining any of them. When I asked for a tour or maybe just a peak at their brewhouse, they basically told me it was too small to bother looking at. Thanks for the heads up I guess... and it explains some of the off flavors in the beers too.

I visited the BBC yesterday for the first time, and will likely go here again. The place is in a refurbished warehouse looking place, and shares its space with a couple other restaurants.
The beer is served in 14oz glasses and a little too cold to initially get a good taste of the beer. I had a rye IPA, brown ale, and a wheat beer that was nicely loaded with hops. Both brews were great.
Our waiter was very attentive and knew facts about the beers he was serving. The owner was there too and seemed like a friendly person. The brewery has about 15 different offerings, and offers five at a time.
As far as the food goes, they have a decent salad bar that includes soup. It's cheap by itself, and to add it to your order was only a couple of bucks. My main entry was mussels and pasta, which went well with the beers I had.
Overall this place has pretty good beer and food, and the prices are extremely low for any brewpub I've ever been to. Also the menu is not your typical pub affair, which makes this place versatile for clientele.

A - Nice small and quaint place with some good brews. Well lit with a good balance between the square bar tables and booths. Nice outdoor sitting area.
Quality and Selection - I tried their Rye IPA and their Hoppy Wheat. They didn't have too many on tap that day since it was a Monday I take it but still their menu offered a nice selection (supposedly). Both beers were delicious though especially that Rye IPA. Nice citrus bomb.
S - service was a bit spotty buit nothing too roar about. I mean we were being served by bartender-type at a table so he wasnt exactly a professional waiter at a fancy restaurant.
F - I tried the Buffalo Burger with Bleu Cheese. Very delicious. a bit over cooked ( I ordered medium).
Overall a good place. A bit disappointed I didnt get a growler of the Rye IPA.
