Pours a very clear, orangy color, with a substantial head. Smell is dank, slightly skunky hops, but as it warms in your hand, the citra really starts to come through. This is true of the taste as well. Let this one warm up a bit and it gets a lot better! There's a nice nutty malt taste as well, similar to what you get from Sam Adams. Mouthfeel is great and overall, this beer is impressive. It's a solid APA and when it warms up a bit, it goes from good to great!

Appearance: 1 inch head, high carbonation, gold in color, cloudy

Smell: citrus hops and pine hops

Taste: citrus hops and pine hops--light honey and malt to balance out the beer

Mouthfeel: sweetish start with a dry bitter middle and aftertaste, light body, medium carbonation

Overall: A nice dry and hoppy beer that is never overly bitter. One of the better pale ales I have had. I am glad I picked up a four pack of this and would get it again if I wanted this style.

16 oz can poured into 12 oz snifter

A: light a bearish orange hue a little bit of a head perfect clarity

S: Has a buttery and fresh cut grass smell with maybe a slight over ripe melon smell

T: A lot like the smell with some tartness on the end, I like the mellow overripe smell people often confuse this I think with diacetyl but I don't believe that's it.

M: pretty full mouthfeel for a pale ale

O: I love this beer I think the sorachi hops play well off the Citra and give you a lush buttery melon tasting fresh grass refreshing ness . Very underrated pale ale in my book . And if you can get it under a month it is a rare treat.

Poured a month old can into a tulip glass.

Deep copper color, very hazy and dense. Not looking through this one. Head was deep, dissipated quickly, almost no lacing.

Smell is good-ish to great, I bet it's great fresh out of the keg.

Mouthfeel is near perfect for me, very carbonated. Tiny little bubbles.

Overall, this is a great Pale Ale. This is the taste I hoped for when I opened their "Can't Dog" last night. The two beers have similar qualities but this beer is much more balanced in my opinion. I prefer the more citrusy, hoppy taste here as opposed to the heavy malt in "Can't Dog"

From the 16 fl. oz. can dated 5/14/16. Sampled on May 22, 2016.

It pours a slightly hazy straw yellow with lots of carbonation bubbles heading upwards to a tremendous but soft cream colored head.

Big aroma of toasted bread, toasted biscuit, citrus, and herbs. Rosemary maybe?

Medium body.

Easy drinking toastiness with a vibrant bitter hop finish. But still balanced overall. Hop heads should like it even though it is not an IPA or DIPA.
