Pours a very clear, orangy color, with a substantial head. Smell is dank, slightly skunky hops, but as it warms in your hand, the citra really starts to come through. This is true of the taste as well. Let this one warm up a bit and it gets a lot better! There's a nice nutty malt taste as well, similar to what you get from Sam Adams. Mouthfeel is great and overall, this beer is impressive. It's a solid APA and when it warms up a bit, it goes from good to great!

16oz can dated 3/25.

Pours hazy copper with a dense head and plenty of lacing after settling down.

Aromatics are a nice blend of lemons and weed. Spicy and dankish with a hint of grapeskins.

Medium bodied with a crispish mouth feel. A bit tacky.

A balancing malt foundation starts the palate with shades of toasted biscuits and caramel. Bright, piney hops follow through with a fairly substantial bitterness for an APA.

Finishes with a lingering hop bite and some residual malty sweetness.

Tasty beer and the hops are a good mix. I just prefer a dryer Pale ale with less malt backbone.

orangey-amber pour with good clarity, tho some floaties, and a lasting off-white head. aroma is butter (diacetyl), caramel, & over-ripe fruit (citra). taste is similar plus some grass, pretty much all diacetyl and over-done citra. seems like got a bad batch based on other reviews, but probably won't be giving it a second shot. never experienced so much diacetyl in a commercial brew.

Poured a month old can into a tulip glass.

Deep copper color, very hazy and dense. Not looking through this one. Head was deep, dissipated quickly, almost no lacing.

Smell is good-ish to great, I bet it's great fresh out of the keg.

Mouthfeel is near perfect for me, very carbonated. Tiny little bubbles.

Overall, this is a great Pale Ale. This is the taste I hoped for when I opened their "Can't Dog" last night. The two beers have similar qualities but this beer is much more balanced in my opinion. I prefer the more citrusy, hoppy taste here as opposed to the heavy malt in "Can't Dog"

16 oz can was poured into an imperial pint glass.

Appearance: This beer poured a good sized head that reduced to a small puffy layer. It is a slightly hazy light orange color with good clarity and vision of slow moving bubbles coming up through the glass. Super frothy lacing all the way down the glass.

Smell: Grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, light caramel, floral, and aromatic.

Taste: Definitely Sorachi and Citra hop characteristics. Mild lingering bitterness with some toasted and pale malts.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, light to medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness, delicious, and low to medium carbonation.

Overall: Pretty solid pale ale. 16 oz cans are awesome too. Limited production and canning and these guys put out some quality brews

16oz Can > Hopsun 20oz Glass

A - Pours a slightly hazed rich gold color 2 finger white thick bubbly head, thick lacing.
S - Aroma is a tad subdued but you get some nice dank hop traits a little pine and citrus, some slight spice and biscuity malt.
T - Malt is a big bread style with some nice floral and citrus hop flavor, a little of that hop dankness.
M - Crisp and refreshing, but not very light.
O - This is closer to an IPA than a pale, but its still very good, definitely something to get if you can get your hands on it, not my favorite pale though.
