New (to me at least) offering from the guys up north at Marshall Wharf. Yes please. This is listed as a an amber, and does pour a nice darkish red brown color, healthy head. Toasty aroma, biscuity, light herbal hop notes. First thing I notice about this beer is the smoothness - nice even flavor. Balanced between cararmel malts and a nice hop spice. Again, super smooth and creamy mouthfeel, very soft. Almost like a nice copper ale or an alt. Very quaffable with the low ABV and interesting enough to have a few. Another solid brew from MW.

First had: on nitro tap at Three Tides, Belfast, ME

This is, in fact, a red ale, according to the MWBC info document, where it is actually listed as "Little Max Red Ale." It's a "small beer" made from the batch of imperial red ale, Maximillian (look up parti gyle; I had to).

Poured a dark reddish-brown with a thick, creamy, white head (again...love nitro). Extra toasty malts in the aroma, and some floral notes coming through. Very smooth and thick with malts, toasty, roasty, hearty grains, with just enough hop bitterness for a good balance. Medium-bodied, but surprisingly flavorful; otherwise enjoyable and very drinkable.

Poured on nitro into a pint glass, the beer is a very bright, vibrant, copper-red color with a creamy, white head that clings like cement. Nose is toasted bread and grains, with a subtle crystal malt character. Light bodied, with a toasty crisp flavoring, and caramel malt sweetness. Light, but bold. The aftertaste is malty, with a slight roasty character. The finish is cloying, with a bit of malt linger.
