I don't know what happened between the first and second batch, but this beer is not what was described in the initial reviews.
The strong, apricot flavor described in the earlier batch seems to have gone by the wayside (first poster actually described a candied apricot flavor).
The first pour hints at apricots, it settles into my four oz taster glass with a big head and an orangish-yellow body. The scent of apricots and grain is mild but present.
As is the taste. Nothing to see here. It's an average wheat style brew with even less fruit flavor that is yielded by the average belgian yeast. Full, satisfying mouth feel, a definite citrus tickle on the back of the tongue, wheatiness, but apricots? Way in the background of this flavor picture.
On the other hand, not wanting to waste my bomber, I half-filled a pint glass with Polycot, added 2-3 oz of lemonade and topped with ice. Fantastic.

Just tapped our second Polycot keg in 6 months. This one was a little bit cloudier because we let it sit in the cooler for a couple of months, thats my guess, but it actually accentuated the citrus taste in this fine Wheat beer. You definitely get that sort of apricot after taste as well as a hint of tartness from the wheat. A great beer for a hot day!
