Cloudy apricot color, 1 soapy finger of bone white head, decent retention & lacing.

Aroma is an even balanced mixture of candied tropical fruit and malt.

Taste is pretty much what you expect from the aroma with candied grapefruit slices, and malt.

Mouthfeel is medium and slightly grainy, not overly dry in the finish, decent drinkability.

If your tastes run towards an even blend of hops and malt, this will be a winner for you. If you prefer a hop forward IIPA with the malt lying low, this won't send you.

A - Pours a glowing yellow with a hint of gold, nice slow steady carbonation, big off white 2 finger head with great lacing and retention.

S - Tons of light citrusy notes, orange, grapefruit, lemon, resinous rinds, malty.

T - Initially decently bitter with tons of the aforementioned citrus flavors and resin. Nice sweet malts temper the citrusy bitterness.

M - Really great malty body (medium bodied), decently carbonated and decently thick - perfect combination IMO. Quite drinkable for what it is.

O - Overall a wonderfully balanced resinous citrusy sweet malty dipa!

Served on tap in a pint glass at the brewery. The initial smell is great, hops permeate the nostrils. The initial taste is smooth and fresh, and the hops again make their presence known, but the alcohol taste remains behind. The color is a nice gold hue, and leaves behind a nice white lace as you take a sip. The best thing about this beer is the fact is that the ABV is high, but the taste remains fresh and you would think it was much lower. Highly recommend.
