750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Inky viscous black. Not much head. A few surface wisps.

Smell - Bourbon is very strong. Lots of liquor. Vanilla and fudge all throughout. Awesome

Taste - Even more bourbon. Less fudgy, but still delicious. Bourbon flavor throughout. A little bit of fruitiness. Boozy.

Mouthfeel - Boozy. Thick and viscous. Low carbonation.

Overall - Straightforward fudge and bourbon. Good stuff.

Thanks to kscaldef for this bottle, 750ML, split with my wife. 2011 vintage.

Pour is black as any plastic computer keyboard. Carbonation is low but evident. Nose is luscious chocolate cake, with nice sideboard of vanilla. Oak big enough to threaten your house in a high wind. Great nose.

Super Nebula brings a constellation of...no, that's dumb. Even after elapsed time, coffee & roast is on this with every tentacle, big dose of both right in the kisser. Plenty of chocolate of course. Vanilla, more of that lovely oak, bourbon has dropped to the level of subtle, but it dominates the aftertaste as a tongue-number. Really nice aftertaste. Sips like a stout half it's weight. Looks good in yoga pants, too.

Very good beer. Has an odd note that I tasted in the other Block 15 beer I had too, & I can't quite put my finger on it. Definitely worth trying.

2013 bottle split two ways on 4.7.13

A - Pours a dark motor oil black with a very small dark brown head that sticks to the glass.

S - Lot of bourbon, chocolate, and some subtle vanilla.

T - Similar to the nose. It hits you in stages; Bourbon, Chocolate and then some light vanilla.

D - Lower carbonation with a heavier body.

O - A really treat. Layers of Pappy bourbon barrels, vanill and chocolate. How can you beat that?
