I had been meaning to check out the Block 15 brewery for quite some time after having several of their tasty beers show up on tap here and there around Portland. I finally made the trip, and was glad that I did.

The atmosphere is pretty standard for a brewpub, nothing stood out as new or different, but the place felt comfortable, clean, and inviting; which is all I need.

The quality of everything I had was really good. I tried a few different styles of beer, and felt they did an equally good job with each. Block 15 isn't a one trick pony.

I came for lunch and the place wasn't very busy, so that may have added to my experience, but the bartender was really friendly and attentive, and glad to share her knowledge of their beers and menu; so I was happy with the service on my visit.

The selection here was good, but it looked like I really miss-planned my trip. A lot of the more special beers from their brewers reserve and cellaring projects that I would have liked to try wouldn't be available until a few weeks later. To their credit, I knew this BEFORE I drove down, as their website is well maintained and up-to-date. I still gave high points for selection however. Although some of the bigger more complex beers weren't available, there was a wide range of styles to choose from, ranging from a fantastic 10% imperial IPA, delicious stout, imperial wit, and many others. There's plenty to choose from and something for everyone. They even had a delicious and somewhat hard to find guest tap that I had to try; a cask esb from brewers union local 180.

I liked the food here. It was mostly standard pub-type fare, but there were some higher end options and everything that I saw come out of the kitchen looked tasty and the portions were all generous. I ordered the "brewer's challenge burger". If you finish the burger and the sides that come with it, your first beer is free! I have a pretty big appetite, and easily beat the meal, but it wasn't that huge, and I think most hungry customers could do it. If you want to get filled up, and have a beer on the house, it's a good option.

The value here is about what I would have expected. I didn't think anything was cheap, but it certainly wasn't expensive either. While I'd never mind paying less, block 15's prices seemed just about right.

If it weren't such a drive from Portland, I'd go more often. I'll wait until there's something really special being released before I plan my next trip.

Great place but all the good beer is gone quick, between calling and showing up the tap list is always drastically different

Great place!!! Very family friendly and accommodating to large parties (10 people). Our party had 5 kids and when our waitress brought us to our table, there were kids books and chalk. The kicker was that the tops of the tables were painted with chalk paint that allowed the kids to decorate them. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and the food was wonderful. Beer was outstanding and paired very well with the menu.

This brewery is one of the best in Oregon. Hard to believe a sleepy little college town like Corvallis would hold such a hidden gem. Block 15 focuses on ultra high quality beers and always has a huge selection of seasonals to accompany their standard beers. Huge focus on sours and hop forward beers - styles this brewery truly excels at. A must visit for any beer lover.

Block 15 is a fantastic brew pub. I lived in Oregon before moving to Tennessee and ate/drank here regularly. They always have new and exciting brews and the food is some of the best I've had anywhere; Aboriginale and Figgy Pudding are a couple of my favorite beers.. They make a phenomenal Oregon pesto pasta and offer a wide variety of burgers to choose from (Southwest burger with jalapeños is exceptional). Their fries are first class and they make all of their own dressings. Their prices did increase a bit and the service started to lack somewhat, but I would go back in a heartbeat. Wish there was something like this in TN.

Have been three times in the past six weeks.
Nice atmosphere and rather busy every time I've gone, but always a few seats at the bar which is a plus. Food was better than average pub fare and the beers are well worth the trip. Each time there were 2-3 one-off or seasonal beers. The quality is very high and of the eleven beers I've tried all were v. good with a couple outstanding and just one that I didn't like. HOWEVER, it should be noted that it was a one hop with Orbit and I don't think I like Orbit (stone fruit characteristics leaning toward the candy/soda pop version of those fruits - more peach Jolly Rancher than peach).

Only downside is that although there is a lot of staff the service is not good. Friendly, but amateur and inattentive (my empty glass on the bar for 5+ minutes without a "what's next?" or "would you like another?". You'll need to grab their attention each and every time for another beer or the bill.
