Was in the area so decided to check out the new brewery location. Swung by the brewery and did a flight. 4 oz pour in a plastic gsb cup. Brew poured a fairly brown amber with decent bread and lacing for tpour and drinking vessel. Smell is all malt with a nice balanced earthiness. Fairly grainy but a rather enjoyable pale ale.

Growler filled in Bay Shore, NY

Pours clear lighter amber, white fluffy head, decent windows of sheeting coupled with fine, wispy and scattered lacing.

Sort of cerealy, and some toased malt notes for the nose.

Respectable pale, some nice fruity notes up front and grainy hops in the rear. Apricots in evidence, along with some honey.

Pleasant enough, more nice beer from GSB Brewing.

Was able to try this during Long Island Craft Beer Week.

A - Pours a light copper color with a heavy foam.

S - Smells hoppy with a little bit of orangy citrus.

T - Tastes pretty robust for an APA. Sweet and citrusy to start and a hoppy bitterness on the back end. Not complex, but it works.

M - Very enjoyable. Farily light modied, and a moderate ABV%. Minimal carbonation.

O - A solid ale from GSB. I tend to like Blonde Ambition a bit more, but would not hesitate to try this again.

Served on tap at TJ Finleys in Bay Shore, NY. Served in a pint glass.

Look: light amber colored body with small carbonation bubbles floating to the top, a thin white, foamy head that retains fairly well and leaves a little bit of lacing. Good.

Smell: some graininess but mostly a big, fruity hop aroma and a little hop spice. Smells very inviting.

Taste: follows the nose with a lot of fruity hop flavors, a little bit of citrus, some floral hops, and a hint of grain. Very profound hop character for an APA and this is very appreciated by this beer drinker. Very nice.

Feel: medium to light, crisply carbonated, easy drinking and refreshing. Its low ABV, at 5%, and ease of drinking makes this a very good session beer.

Overall: one of the better APAs I've had and of the up and coming Long Island breweries, this might be the best beer I've had in a long time. Great South Bay keeps impressing me and with another solid beer, its not hard to see why. Worth trying if you see it available to you. Cheers!
