Why is it that so many cream ales are disappointing? The name makes it sound like something good, yet so few brewers seem to be able to offer a good one. It's probably the style's fault for resembling an adjunct lager rather than being a light beer with the smoothness of a stout.
Poured a light orange-amber, clear, with a few stray bubbles on top. Light aroma, grains and corn, orange zest. Light on the palate, weak taste, corn, distilled grains, orange blossom and maybe a touch of honeysuckle. Light-bodied, too thin and sweet. May be good for a weak palate, but I just can't stomach it.
