Served in a snifter glass (for only $4).
From the brewer:
Hop Henge IPA is a big NW IPA boasting 3.5 pounds of Centennial, Cascade and Northern Brewer hops per barrel with a heavy dry-hop. A blend of Crystal, Pale and Carastan malts creates an overall biscuit characteristic that is dense and muscular. Part of our Bond Street Series. (95 IBU's)
This is perhaps the best balanced 2IPA I've ever had. The malt is present without an oily, alcohol presence. The hop bitterness do not appear as 95 IBU's. They're there but like a hoppy pale ale. The aftertaste is short for the style. It is mildly sweet with no yeast or sourness present. I'm reminded of roasted chestnuts.
The smell is of fresh floral hop and buttery malt base. The color of the brew is dark, dirty copper. Clear. Nice thick head which leaves some spotty lace. The body is as expected.
