On tap at the Portland Brewpub.
A - Pours a dark to medium orange with a nice cream-colored head. Great retention and streaks of lacing are left on the glass.
S - Pine and grass, very strong.
T - Lemons, very citrusy and some more pine.
D - Average body and good carbonation.
O - A nicely balanced beer. Not very bitter or overpowering.

On-tap at the Portland Pub. Frogger is a Northwest Pale Ale, or NWPA for short. Deschutes claims the hops they use for this one are so new they aren't even named yet. OK, I guess a lot of innovation can happen when you make beer at 48 degrees latitude.
The nose is pungent, citrus, and strongly aromatic. A distinct orange taste on the mid-palette, which turns slightly and pleasantly bitter on the finish. Very good carbonation and mouthfeel. Ample cling-to-the-glass lacing. Very well done, more NWPA for me, please!
