Top notch facility in Portland, OR. I think this place is just a couple years old. The building itself and the interior are very well done. Lots of wood and a great layout. Atmosphere is great. We sat in one of the booths but I checked out the bar area as well. Very nice. Pretty spacious but I imagine it gets crowded. It was on a weekend afternoon when I was there.
Deschutes makes excellent beers so the quality at the public house is outstanding. I was lucky enough to be there when they were doing a five (or four?) year vertical of Abyss. What a treat. They seem to have some pub only selections as well, in addition to their regular offerings, which is always nice to see.
Service was solid. Pretty well run staff, as it sort of has to be for a place of this size.
I will definitely try to get back here next time I am in Portland. Highly recommended.

This was stop #18 for my wife and I on a 21-day pub-crawl from Michigan to N. CA and OR. We stopped here on a Saturday morning to enjoy their beers and to have lunch. The pub is located in corner building in a very busy section of the downtown area, and parking was difficult. We thought that we were early for the lunch hour, but we were sooo wrong. A 30 minute wait was needed before we were seated. (The bar area was jammed so I didn’t even try to get a beer to drink while waiting.)
The interior is nicely decorated to go with a beer pub theme, but because of the largeness of the place and the din of the large crowd I did not get a feeling of comfort that I like to have for a casual meal. We ordered the standard sampler flight of 6 beers (18 were available) to go along with our food. All of the beers was very well made, and all of them were better than average. The Two Step IRA was the most notable (we liked it better than Fresh Squeezed). The food was also very good.
Because of how busy this place was and the size of the noisy crowd we did not enjoy ourselves as much as we would have liked. However, the beer and the food are good enough reasons to come back here again, but we’d try to find a slack time to do so.
