Stopped by this fine establishment for lunch while visiting Portland with the GF. Seated quickly (wasn't too crowded) and ordered a pint of their Obsidian Stout on Nitro-tap. Fantastic, and the lady's Mirror Pond Pale wasn't bad either. Server was prompt and friendly, and quick to discuss their menu and beer selection, as well as letting me know their beer on Cask (at the time, it was the Bachelor ESB, which I also tried). Decor was very inviting, I wish I could've stuck around and seen the place lit up at night...big windows, huge wooden carvings of bear and elk, and tall ceilings.

My elk burger was huge and delicious, and the appetizer of pita chips and some kind of queso-jalapeno dip was also quite tasty. Try the house dressing if you get a side salad, it's very good. For a "pub" fare, it doesn't get much better than this. Prices were reasonable for the Portland area, two lunches and 3 beers were around $55 with tip. Of course the selection is limited to Deschutes beers, but if you can't find something in that line-up you don't like, you need to check your tastebuds. Walked out with a purchased bomber of Black Butte XX. Great place.
