Got a bottle of this in the RS last year. Big fan of creamsicles so was interested in trying this. 750ml bottle poured into my Bruery tulip.
a - Pours a deep amber-brown color with one finger plus of off white head and moderate carbonation evident. Looking like a normal cream ale.
s - Smell is spot on, like orange creamsicle. Sweet orange, cream, vanilla, cream soda, fruits, wheat, dough, and bread. I like it quite a bit.
t - Tastes of cream, vanilla, bready malts, orange, citrus, fruits, dough, orange soda and cream soda mix.
m - Medium body and low to moderate carbonation. Smooth and creamy, no heat. Great mouthfeel.
o - Overall a really cool and interesting beer that I liked and think worked well. It smells like orange creamsicle, and is basically a mix of an orange soda and cream soda in beer form. I like all those things so to me this is good, and I'm assuming exactly what they were going for. If you like creamsicle worth checking out; much better than Or Xata as an experimental beer IMO.
