Bottle to Bruery Tulip and FFF Teku
750 Ml

Thanks to Jlindros for this one

App- Right out the gate this pours a big black motor oil black with some brown highlights and a fizzy 1 finger head that went away very quickly. The cling was a bit non existant on this one. Not a surprise.

Smell- When I pull a big whif I can find some heat to it. Most of the aromas focused on the vanilla, chocolate, bourbon and cherry flavors. I get much more cherry than I was thinking on this one. The oak was there as well bit a subtle note to it.

Taste- So I think I was expecting a little to much from this one and had to remind myself it was a porter and not a stout. I think I tricked myself into thinking it was something it wasnt. The aromas transfer over quite nicely to the flavor of the beer with more choclate covered cherries. The alcohol was much more subdued on this one than the Bruery version. I actually finished this one quite quickly.

Mouth- A bit of a medium body with a medium carbonation level. Again not a stout. I have to remind myself. The residual flavors remind me of a cherry Dr. Pepper. A bit smooth soda like flavors.

Drink- This was a nice beer to sit and watch TV with. A big beer to drink solo. Was a good sipper with unique flavors and aromas to balance out a big heat behind it.
