A-Black in the glass with a one finger off white head.
S-A lot of rum. Too much of it. And booze as well. Some roasted malt and dark fruits but there is this lingering smoked meat, almost like ham flavor.
T-Similar to the nose. Too much rum and too much of a smoked meat flavor. Both of which hurt any other flavors that are there.
M-Medium to heavy, not much carbonation.
O-Another meh Rum barrel aged beer. But the worst part was the smoked meat/beef jerky like flavor that did not seem to go well with the rest of the beer.

A- traditonal old ale murky brown color. slightly viscous looking
S- caramel, brown sugar and candied fruit. sounds good but a little too much of all these. very sweet smelling with definite booze presence tingling the nostrils. super hot rum melted candy. rum barrel only detracts and is sharp and too strong
T- very sweet and cloying with overt booziness and sharp cheap high proof rum taste
M- probably the best part of this beer but not great. medium to high body. coats tongue very well but not too thick
O- my least favorite of the anniverary beers so far. however, rum barrel does nothing but subtract even more. the worst rum barrel aged beer i have had. high gravity hunters will still be pleased by the abv but it is so sweet and boozy. overall a disjointed beer with a decent base
