Picked up a growler earlier this evening. Poured into an Ommegang chalice.
A - Poured a clear yellowish-copper with light carbonation and a thin bubbly head which dissipated quickly. Looks a bit watery.
S - A minty kind of citrus with a touch of alcohol. Spicey with cloves and it smelled very fresh and cotton candy like.
T - Somewhat bitter and sour. Most of the usual suspects, but more tangy than I had hoped for, with sweetness hitting the palate first. Cloves and banana are present in the flavor.
M - Pretty refreshing. Nice even mouth and overall refreshing without much alc bite
D - Pretty tasty. Not the best tripel I've had, but not the worst.
Serving type: growler
