Hazy honey yellow-orange color with a fluffy and creamy white head. Everything really stands still in a beautiful way. Great appearance.
Spicy booze, breadiness, sweet herbs (basil), plantain, very light clove, and hint of pear. Amplified nose that's big from booze and malty breadth, not from fruit and esters.
Woah, crazy tropical flavors! Tastes like a cross between a tripel and a piña colada! Pineapple, coconut, sweet thai basil, clove, Hawaiian bread, spicy booze, herbal hops, green apple, and mild banana. Insane flavors. I'm blown away by the character of this beer, but I can't help but thinking that this might be mocked by the purists.
Drinks light enough, which is quite appealing in itself. Carbonation is spritzy and rolling around in the mouth. Booze is a little smacking, as it should be.
Magical brew from Mr. Rue. Inventive, fun, complex, and fitting for an appropriate food pairing. I'm glad I got to try this one.
