Served on-tap at The Blind Tiger in New York, NY

A: Pours a hazy to cloudy pale straw yellow in color with light amounts of visible carbonation (represented as moderate sized bubbles throughout the glass along the sides but barely moving) and some lemon yellow highlights. The beer has a quarter finger tall fizzy white head that quickly reduces to a small patch of very thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light aromas of wheat underneath a more moderate aroma of lemon tartness.

T: Upfront there are light flavors of wheat with some moderate flavors of lemon tartness. Lightly sour with a hint of vinegar.

M: Light bodied with light to moderate amounts of carbonation. Light to moderate amounts of acidic prickliness and a hint of dryness.

O: Light and refreshing with a pleasant amount of tartness/sourness - not intensely tart/sour so an approachable Berliner Weissbier to get started with... Enjoyable and definitely one I would have again.

I am usually a stout and dark beer person, but this is the perfect compliment when mixed in with all those heavy beers. I have had this beer both from the tap and also from a bottle, and both experiences were similar, this review focuses on the bottle.

The beer pours a very light orange straw color, with small head. The aroma is slightly citrusy, but nothing overpowering.

The taste is very nice, with hints of citrus (mostly lemon), over the wheat, overall just a nice refreshing beer that I enjoyed in the sun. This is one of the easiest drinking beers that I have tasted, and I would recommend it to anyone (Unless you are trying to get drunk, as it is only 3.1% alcohol).

The beer is a light cloudy straw typical in color of any berliner weisse. The head is white but very weak in substance with big bubbles fading quickly. The lacing is light. The aroma is light with a light tartness some citrus and lots of bready yeast. I wish it was a little more sour. The taste is a light too, a little lemon citrus on the front followed by a little muted tartness. The feel is medium but very drinkable. Overall, a decently drinkable enjoyable beer but not tart enough to be an awesome berliner

bottle picked up locally, enjoyed from a bruery luau 2013 taster.

a - shortly after opening the beer started a slow gush so i quickly made do and filled the glass. lemon yellow and murky. opaque, but like sunshine. thin fizzy head that fizzed away quick.

s - nice soft lemon tartness over wheat. soft hints of hard boiled egg.

t - lemon tartness and wheat. really nice example of the style. crisp and a bit vinegary. just REALLY solid. if anything a bit lemon heavy.

m - crisp and refreshing. leaves a bit of a prickly tickle in my mouth.

o - overall, fantastic berliner. exactly what you want from the style...great summer day beer.
