Cloudy. Coppery amber in color with a huge 4 finger light tan head that leaves thick, sticky lacing.
The aroma is of sweet potato pie. Yams, pumpkin pie spices, light molasses and maple syrup, Belgian yeast and alcohol.
Taste is sweet, but for me the alcohol overpowers the added flavorings though I do get a bit of the pumpking pie effect in the aftertaste. I also get the perception of rye, as in in the end, the beer seems to be more tart than sweet.
Medium to medium-thick bodied with light carbonation and a light alcohol burn in the throat.
The taste, perhaps, suffers a bit from the high alcohol content, but having said that, it might be a good idea to grab another one, and hold it for awhile, to let it age.
