My first offering from the Bruery, I scored a bottle of this while in Orlando last month. Figuring I'd better get this open and consumed sooner than later, I was immediately grabbing for a towel as foam steadily crept out of the bottle. Upon landing this ale into my glass chalice I noticed the towering foamy head. Once this frothiness settled I notice the bubble activity rising from the golden-yellow body of this brew. Refreshing and crisp, I am only reminded of a beer I happened to drink just hours earlier, Orval !! I hardly would have expected this (I'm used to a Saison having a sweet fruit-funkiness due to my frequent samplings of Boulevard's Tank 7, but I guess I need to try more of this style to get the right outlook on what to expect). Malty, flavorful with tangy spicy notes. I wish the dryness I sense after each sip was somehow more muted. Overall this is solid to me; I'm too much a fan of this style (albeit a newer one) to be disappointed. I want to seek out other notable farmhouse styles to compare, but this one I'll grab again anytime (if geography allows).

The Bruery Saison de Lente has an extremely thick, fluffy, white head, a somewhat hazy, quite bubbly, yellow-gold appearance, and heavy lacing left on the glass. The aroma is full and pungent- spicy, sweet bread, yeast, pepper, other spices, and sweetness. Taste is the same, with a nice, rounding hop bitterness at the end. Mouthfeel is light to medium and a bit slick, and The Bruery Saison de Lente finishes semi-dry, easy going, mellow, and delicious.
