A- Pours a beautiful cloudy, lemon yellow into my Bruery tulip. Three fingers of fluffy white foam float atop the sunshine gold and slowly fades leaving chunks of sticky lacing all around the glass.
S- Lemon, white pepper, little touches of tangerine peel, clove, banana and yeast. It's got a subtle touch of funk and barnyard. Nicely crisp, fruity and dry. Fresh cut grass and much sweeter than I rememberin the nose.
T- Candied lemon peel, white and pink peppercorn, banana, old dry grass, compost, manure, and a sweet graininess. Notes of dry biscuits, clove. The Brett is somewhat faint and may need some time to develop. Sweeter than I remeber this Saison being.
M- Pretty flat, not much in the way of carbonation. A tad on the sweet side and less dry and puckering than most saisons.
O- A decent saison at best. Mouthfeel not what I would consider normal for the style. Lack of carbonation hurts this one. Alot less Brett funk at this time, but it may develop over time. Definately worth grabbing a bottle of and putting some age on it.

Not sure the regular price of this beer but I got it on discount from 15.95 for just 9 bucks. Must be old at least a few months to possibly a year from last spring you never know with beers from this place.
A - Very carbonated I got well over two inches that fades rather slowly. Probably to a good lace ring... yep! Color is a hazy opaque yellow color with no chunks so thankfully it's not TOO old or stored wrong.
S - Fresh and full of Brett that tickles the nostrils like a fresh squeezed lemon. Beneath this I do get some dry funky yeast and maybe some peppery spice but it's mostly sour.
T - Not sure how but I get no sour flavors in the taste is just comes off dry with some bready yeast and very little if any pepper corn or funk. Kind of plain really for such an expensive drink.
M - Bubbly and light Its not too dry and goes down smooth.
Overall I really like the idea of a sour Saison it covered up most of the drying qualities I hate in the style but it really didn't taste very Brett like. In fact it seems like it killed the base a bit since I don't taste many bready malts or pepper corns or anything. Interesting idea but an overpriced flop if you asked me.
