poured into a chardonnay glass, wide wide mouth, color is a hazy light golden copper white solid white head
sweet malt upfront, apples, spices, slight yeasty notes, very enticing
sweetish malt upfront followed by solid spice, green apples, piney and grassy hops leading to a crisp, malty, slightly peppery finish
smooth, medium bodied, with a long subtle finish that just begs the beer to be sipped. good layers to pick through which only come out more as the beer warms
smooth, crisp malty flavors with a solid spiced and yeasty backbone with a semi dry finish and subtle flavors throughout. a delicious example of a saison, although not as dry or foral as dupont, but who cares

Not sure the regular price of this beer but I got it on discount from 15.95 for just 9 bucks. Must be old at least a few months to possibly a year from last spring you never know with beers from this place.
A - Very carbonated I got well over two inches that fades rather slowly. Probably to a good lace ring... yep! Color is a hazy opaque yellow color with no chunks so thankfully it's not TOO old or stored wrong.
S - Fresh and full of Brett that tickles the nostrils like a fresh squeezed lemon. Beneath this I do get some dry funky yeast and maybe some peppery spice but it's mostly sour.
T - Not sure how but I get no sour flavors in the taste is just comes off dry with some bready yeast and very little if any pepper corn or funk. Kind of plain really for such an expensive drink.
M - Bubbly and light Its not too dry and goes down smooth.
Overall I really like the idea of a sour Saison it covered up most of the drying qualities I hate in the style but it really didn't taste very Brett like. In fact it seems like it killed the base a bit since I don't taste many bready malts or pepper corns or anything. Interesting idea but an overpriced flop if you asked me.
