From a 750 ml bottle (dated December 19, 2012) into a globe glass.
A-A normal pour produces a tall, barely-off-white head that drops quickly into a thick cap of foam. The brew is mostly clear and bright hay colored.
S-I smell a lot of sharp grass, straw, and pepper. There is also a healthy dose of brett, but the brew is not overly funky or barnyard-smelling. Some fruity alcohol and banana-like saison yeast are also noticeable.
T-The taste is like a scaled back version of the smell, i.e., grass, straw, pepper, brett, some lemon, and some sweet saison yeast, but not as intense as you detect in the nose. There is a touch of hop spice, too. The flavors work and I could easily drink a lot of this on a nice spring day (like today).
M-The brew is clean, crisp, and relatively light in body, and it matches the style well. There is a fine, slightly prickly carbonation to help things out.
O-This was a pleasing, above-average saison. The flavors are on par for the style, although not amazing, and the mouthfeel is quite good. The flavor is bigger than the ABV would suggest, and I would happily drink more of this.

Not sure the regular price of this beer but I got it on discount from 15.95 for just 9 bucks. Must be old at least a few months to possibly a year from last spring you never know with beers from this place.
A - Very carbonated I got well over two inches that fades rather slowly. Probably to a good lace ring... yep! Color is a hazy opaque yellow color with no chunks so thankfully it's not TOO old or stored wrong.
S - Fresh and full of Brett that tickles the nostrils like a fresh squeezed lemon. Beneath this I do get some dry funky yeast and maybe some peppery spice but it's mostly sour.
T - Not sure how but I get no sour flavors in the taste is just comes off dry with some bready yeast and very little if any pepper corn or funk. Kind of plain really for such an expensive drink.
M - Bubbly and light Its not too dry and goes down smooth.
Overall I really like the idea of a sour Saison it covered up most of the drying qualities I hate in the style but it really didn't taste very Brett like. In fact it seems like it killed the base a bit since I don't taste many bready malts or pepper corns or anything. Interesting idea but an overpriced flop if you asked me.
