750ml bottle. The latest edition (15% ABV). Served in a snifter.

Pours a translucent cola brown with half a finger of light beige foam. Settles to a frothy ring. No lacing left behind.

Aroma reminds me mostly of the Bruery anniversary old ales. Caramel, vanilla, chocolate with bourbon notes. I suppose I get some of the fruity and floral notes from the White Oak Sap. Slight alcohol burn.

Flavor is quite similar to the old ales as well, at least at first. Intensely sweet initial flavor with strong dark fruit and sherry notes. It seems the Black Tuesday emerges through the middle and finish as a more roasted malt character appears. Floral, fruity, and spicy wheat malt are there too. The finish dries up with some port-like alcohol notes, but the sweetness never goes away and lingers through the aftertaste.

Full bodied with medium-low carbonation. Kind of thick and syrupy.

Overall this is another big and tasty beer from the Bruery, and I enjoy the idea of blending, but it isn't better than the stand-alone components.

750 ml bottle, no bottled-on date, poured into a snifter.

A- Pours a deep, opaque mahogany brown, produces a thin, wispy beige head, leaves no lacing, but does leave some nice legs when it's swirled.

S- Wonderful aroma of figs, raisins, burnt sugar, chocolate, toffee, vanilla and sweet bourbon. It's boozy and sweet but not overly so, the aroma is complex and incredible. As it warms a rich dark chocolate aroma becomes more evident.

T- Lots of sweet flavors of bourbon, vanilla, fruit and molasses. The finish has some really great chocolate and vanilla flavors, with a bit of wood tannins drying it out. The sweetness is nice and sticky but doesn't overpower the other flavors or become cloying, the bourbon and alcohol is similarly handled, everything is kept in perfect proportion.

M- Full-bodied, low carbonation with a thick, rich, decadent feel. The finish has a mix of tannins and boozy warmth.

O- A damn delicious beer, has a lot of the best aspects of the Bruery's big, rich beers. This stuff is a real treat and is an awesome, complex sipping beer.

A: great dark brown color with lighter highlights and an excellent head for a beer of this gravity. Very cloudy - not sure if this was because it was in the fridge for a week or from bourbon barrel aging or something else.

S: fantastic sweet smell of bourbon, oak, vanilla, toffee

T: very sweet after a while, but you get all of the wonderful flavors of toffee, bourbon, and sweet malt along with some rich fruit.

M: thick, but balanced with solid carbonation.

O: solid beer, but too sweet. I shared the bottle with one other, but half of that is way too much. Should have shared with 4 people. Still an excellent beer.

Hella collar left. Very dark brown body with light brown highlights. Fun alcohol legs.

Belgian notes but big time barrelage.

The Belgian Yeast influenced candied aftertaste just kicks the race horses ass. Yum fruits.

Very smooth, got damn. Lowish carbonation.

Wow,!i loved this one. Reminded me a lot of BA Naked Evil only because of the Belgian aspect and the high ABV. Seek out! Thanks egrace84!!

Review #3, cellar temp, served in tulip

A : Not quite black, some reddish hues, reminds me of root beer, minimal off-white head, lacing was minimal, nice legs though.

S : Oak, vanilla, caramel, touch of cocoa and I swear I get hints of anise from somewhere

T : Dark fruits, black cherries, hints of chocolate, vanilla & toffee. Sweetness hits mid-palate as does some bourbon, finishes a bit syrupy but not unpleasantly so.

M : Smooth, bold, a bit lighter than I expected honestly

O : I like this, more than I thought I would as I am not the biggest Black Tuesday fan (non-09 anyway!), oak was a bit more forward than I prefer and once it warmed became a touch cloying. Glad I have more, looking forward to it already.
