750ml bottle poured into tulip 2/7/13
A murky orange liquid with enough clarity to see lots of little bubbles feeding a large three finger off white foam that quickly falls to a pinky's width leaving lots of random lace
S quite sweet and boozy, pear, apple juice, apricot, vanilla, not a massive barrel presence but I do get some bourbon and strangely enough some white vinous notes, Belgian yeast wasn't expected and I'm getting some wheaty dry cereal that's not as surprising
T candied pineapple and even more booze and vanilla then the nose, seems just a little rough though with some citric hops shinning through here and there, a little wood that wasn't really there on the nose, some maple syrup and brown sugar as it warms
M leaning towards full, enough bubbles to give it some life, slight tannins and still a little hot, maple cereal lingers on the finish
O something different and not at all what I was expecting, would benefit from some age as shes still a little hot, interesting take on a wheat-wine
one of those beers that I liked but doubt I'll be dropping the cash to age a bottle or two even though I think it would improve drastically. I'm stoked to get The Bruery here in Alberta but so far I'm overspending.
