Poured into a Saint Somewhere wine-style glass. No freshness date.
A- Pours a dark brown color with a full inch of light tan head that retains well before lowering to a 1/4 inch head. Below-average lacing.
S- Sweet rye malt aroma with some hops lingering beneath the surface. Milk chocolate notes.
T- Deep flavors of caramel, chocolate and even peanut butter. The rye is used in more of a sweetness context than a spicy or roasty one like I'm used to, although there is a strong mocha aftertaste. Hops don't play a dominant role and the alcohol is hardly noticed. Decadent.
M- High carbonation as per the usual Bruery style. Full and creamy body.
O- Delicious and simple; just like everything these guys do.
