A-pours a dark caramel brown liquid with virtually no head other than some bubbles on top.
S-the nose is a mix of wood and overly sweet malts, burnt brown sugars and caramel with a touch of sweet plums.
T-all malt and very sweet, the caramel and plum seem to dominate, hints of chocolate underneath with a light spice to the finish.
M-full bodied, syrupy and soft, lighter carbonation with an easy finish.
D-not bad but overly sweet with an unfocused malt presence.

Draft. Pours the color of oxidized viking blood with a quickly diminishing off-white head. Aroma is liquid bread with earthy hops and caramel sweetness. Dark fruit sweetness dominates the flavor, with only the rye tang and the hop spiciness rescuing this beer from being a cloying mess. Warm alcohol on the finish. Light carbonation and a medium body. Underwhelming, especially considering the draft cost as much as my dinner.
