Poured from a 750 mL bottle into a Brewer's Art goblet. Moderate hand. Stamped Batch #136, 12/3/13.
A: Hazy, golden honey-colored body with 1 finger of off-white head. Good retention. Minimal lacing.
S: Belgian yeast, European/noble hops. Grass. Hay. Light fruit. Apple. Pepper. Candi sugar. Vanilla.
T: Spicy with black pepper essence and a surprising sweetness initially. A subdued hop bitterness slowly develops. Semi-dry finish. Mild tang develops mid-way and lingers in the aftertaste. Light alcohol for the 8.5% ABV.
M: Moderate carbonation with nice creaminess. Moderate body. Good feel.
O: Sweeter and heavier than I expected. I found the hops to be somewhat buried - especially on the palate. Not a bad brew, but definitely not their best offering.
