Finally, a Bruery beer. Not any of the top beers but I grabbed up all three styles that Total Wine had like Gollum grabbing at the One Ring.

Pours with a huge, absolutely massive amount of head, a pint glass full of it. Finally got some actual liquid after a few minutes. Hazy dark yellow with some orange throughout. Head is off-white and chunky leaving decent lace. Big head production continued throughout the bomber.
Smell is malt, hops, spice and some banana. Good balance and decent complexity.
Taste is tangy, malty with spice, hops, alcohol, some citrus in hops form. Nicely balanced and complex.
Warming, medium-full body with a fairly upfront effervescence. Not an overpowering, in-your-face kind of carbonation but quite noticeable. Slightly drying finish. Malt & spice hang on in the aftertaste.

Hazy bright orange hue with a GIANT head. Clingy bright white with lots of action type of head.

Lots of citrus, grapefruit, bitter coriander and spicy clove on the nose. Flavor profile is much the same but so concise. Lots of effervescence with a touch of alcohol heat. Flavor is prominently tropical fruit mixes with some earthy rustic characteristics. No layers just a big complex ball of flavors. Overall pretty good. Mischievous indeed since its so tasty and refreshing yet so high in ABV.

Wants to compete with trade winds but cant. Great beer on it's own otherwise but a bit of heat and a bit too floral and overly spiced.

Served in a snifter glass.

Appearance: This beer is a slight hazy gold, might be a littelr on the darker side of gold if you ask me. White head is f'n thick coming off at least two finger's length off the body.

Smell: Has a yeast aroma that comes off a little sweet to the nostrils. You put this glass down it hovers and yes that good.

Taste: Bitter hoppy with a honey feel. It improves after the first sip. Hops are in full effect.

Mouth: Medium to heavy, with very good after taste that super crisp.

Overall: Very good beer, definitely a step above of what I thought it was going to be. I picked this up on a whim and honestly will again. Hope you enjoy, Salud!

very little to complain about here -- quality beer, reasonably priced.

pours an opaque cloudy blonde with an effervescent fluffy white 2 finger head that leaves a little lacing as you drink it down. not getting a lot aroma wise -- a touch of the belgian yeast, a little hops... faintly spicy, some malts, but overall a very mellow aroma. i would grade higher for a little more floral hop character...

the taste is excellent: dry, clean, some bitterness from the hops.... a pleasure to drink with some spicy food or on a hot day with some salad and barbecue. while i don't get much in the way of fruit flavors, maybe a little apple or pear.... this has a champaign quality.

overall, i would buy this again.

750mL into a tulip. Pours a clear golden color w/ a monstrous frothy white head, sticky clumps of lace, ample carbonation. Looks great.

Aroma is floral, spicy, hoppy, a little citrusy. Nice clean Belgian yeast.

Taste follows nose. Biscuity pale malt, floral and citrusy hops, Belgian yeast. Hints of bubblegum. Lemons, spice. This beer is hoppy enough that it could almost qualify as a Belgian IPA. But it's traditional enough that the current classification is probably right. No sign of the 8.5% ABV.

Mouthfeel is smooth, medium bodied. Hops give it a clean crisp bite. Finishes nice and dry.

Overall a solid BSPA from a solid brewery.

Picked up a bottle of this as I have never had a beer from The Bruery. Well I must say the crisp carbonation, great mouthfeel were very impressive! I could tell immediatly that this is a very good Brewery! They know what they are doing!

The problem here is the beer itself. I did not really like the actual combination of ingredients in this beer which causes the score to be low.

I am excited to try other beers from the Bruery but this one was not my cup of tea. Others may love this beer!

Bottom Line- It appears that this is a top notch brewery now all I have to do is find the right beer.

Poured into a snifter slowly (to minimize disturbing the bottle sediment) a glowing, partly hazy, pale yellow gold supports a foamy dense white head. Mildly sour lemon citrus juice and rind come forth in a fruity aroma to the beat of a Belgian yeast character. Fruit and spice seem to harmonize here nicely to deliver a tasty treat for the Belgian Golden style lover and novice alike.

Bought a 1 PINT 9.4 Fl. OZ. - 750 ML bottle of this from Binny’s in Lincoln Park (Chicago), IL for $9.99. Poured from the Black/Silver/Metallic Red labeled bottle into a 12oz Schlafly Tulip Glass. Has no sign of freshness date on the bottle.

Aroma- Tons of spices and coriander hit the nose first. A distant well balanced hop/malt combo is also around. Bit of yeast too. Good all around nose.

Appearance- Pours a 2 finger head that has good retention. Has a deep copper colored body with a good amount of haziness. Leaves thick lacing behind.

Flavor- Very sweet with malt and fruit and then hops come into the middle of the drink. Sweetness seems to be thrown out because of the spices that make their way in towards mid-drink and take over. Smooth and has light-medium hop bitterness on the finish.

Mouthfeel- Medium Bodied, Medium-High Carbonation, Smooth, Creamy, and leaves mixture of flavors on the palate but can hardly pick them out.

Overall Impression- A sweet version of the style, I wasn't too impressed with this one from the Bruery. I'm still trying to knock off all of the beers from this brewery off my list but am trying to miss those that aren't outstanding. Wouldn't necessarily go back to this one again...

This beer pours a beautiful golden amber, with a pillowy white head that lasts and lasts and lasts. Hazy does not begin to describe the opacity. Pretty looking thing.

The nose is mild and slightly sweet. Theres an understated spiciness. The more i let it linger the more pleasant i find it.

The taste is somewhat muted. This is not meant to be a slight by any means, it works in this instance. Some musty yeastiness. It almost approaches As if its going to be sharp and spicy but never gets there. Its very accessible.

Very clean mouthfeel. A mellow crisp if you will. The more i dwell on it the more i like it

Poured into a 0.5L Duvel tulip.

A: They certainly got the head and carbonation right on this one. Body is a cloudy light orange, great retention on the head.

S: Spicy fruity yeast aromas.

T: Yeast spice blends well with the hops on this one. Very nice fresh malt flavor in the finish. Sweeter than I expected.

M: Big and carbonated, as it should be.

D: Very nice twist on the Belgian golden with a more aggressive hopping.

Billed as a hoppy Belgian golden ale I'm pretty excited about this one; purchased from a local Whole Foods in Orange County. I didn't see any best-before date on it.

A - pale golden in color with a slight haze and lots of obvious effervescense. Even a careful pour leaves a fluffy three finger head that slowly dissipates to a single finger lingering head. Lacing is thick and solid.

S - nose gives some sour fruit and a bit of funk; it's fairly intense. Very slight floral character.

T - slight grassy hops attack over tart fruit, light bodied with a dry finish. Some lingering tartness and bitterness in the finish.

M - carbonation is smooth, and even somewhat creamy; less intense than the head initially suggested. Finishes clean and dry,

Overall is this a tasty Belgian Strong Pale. Less boozy and more fruit/tart flavors than others I've had (it's almost like a wild ale). Definitely one worth a try; I'd have it again!

A: Pours a great cloudy golden straw. There is a huge amount of head that takes quite awhile to settle. Huge lacing left on the glass as it drinks.

S: The nose is yeast, spice, banana, lemon, honey, and basil. It's a really great mix. it's sweet and spicy, but it has a solid base and good mix of fruit.

T: Starts out sweet and yeasty. As the yeast settles, I get a bunch of banana and spice. Tons of basil, lemon, and honey shine through. I'm really diggin' this beer.

M: Medium bodied beer. Tons of Belgian qualities right off the bat, with some fun fruits in the middle. The finish is tart and yeasty. It lingers for a bit, but nothing excessive.

O: I'm sincerely enjoying this beer. It's a wacky mix of old world and new school. Big Belgian yeast and lots of citrusy hop profiles. It's pretty darn good. I'd drink this again.
