Premiére marks the grand opening of The Bruery Provisions in Old Towne Orange. A barrel aged strong golden ale, its a great introduction to our new location. Spicy with flavors of honey, caramel, light tropical fruits and bourbon. A beer that will surely mature beautifully with age.

Impressive golden appearance, ample clarity, soft 3/4" white head. Mild wood notes in the nose.
All kinds of fruity ester feels from the yeast, apple, banana, pear, green grape, grass. Alcohol is noticeable, even the hops slightly too. Complex, but not a chore to drink, enjoyable, even in a style I'm not too fond of usually. Even some wood and vanilla creep into the mouthfeel. Good meld going on.

2010 vintage
L - Pours a hazy orange with a barely one finger eggshell head. The head has some fight, but eventually dissipates to a ring around the glass. There isn't much lacing to speak of.
S - I'm getting a melon/cantaloupe nose, slight tartness and faint belgian yeast in the back.
T - The strong golden ale base held up nicely. Sweet honey and caramel combined with tropical fruits, banana and clove. The barrel aged notes of bourbon and vanilla add an interesting aspect.
F - Light bodied and light carbonation. The beer comes off slightly cloying and has a wet finish.
O - This beer has held up well and age has treated it wonderfully.

Exceptional Belgian blonde that comes across as a delicious bourbon apple cider.
