Poured into a stemmed brewery tulip glass out of a 750 ML bottle.

What an outstanding, underrated beer!

Appearance: Light copper hue. Thick, practically whip cream head with great retention. I did expect this red ale to have a slightly darker hue.

Smell: Butterscotch and raisins with a hint of fresh raspberry. Very inviting nose.

Taste: Taste follows the nose, with addition of oak and moderate hop bitterness. Hop profile brings pine, cat-pee ( in a good way?), and a bit of tropical fruit (could be from the yeast esters).

Feel: Mouthfeel is on point for the style. Just enough carbonation to lighten the complex flavors. Each sip definitely invites the next.

Considering that this beer is one of the staples of The Bruery's lineup, it might play second fiddle to many of their seekers. Don't miss out; this one is a true gem.

Hoppy nose, malty finish. Great local brew. Seems to have changed a lot over the past few years.

Hoppy and bitter up front. Caramel malt on the finish.
