A - Clear reddish copper brown with a long lasting frothy off white head that leaves quite a bit of lacing on the glass.
S - Sweet caramel malts, a little bit of vanilla and rich malty goodness. Light alcohol is perfumy and pleasant. Dark fruity esters and melanoidins.
F/M - Caramelly bready sweet malts with lots of dark fruity flavors. Very much a malt-forward beer with moderately low bitterness behind it. Vanilla and very light oaky flavors are pleasant and add complexity. Slightly sweet finish, with a nice drying alcohol warmth. Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Lingering sweet malty bready toffee flavor.
D - Good but the sweetish finish make it difficult to put down more than a glass or two at a time. Very flavorful and enjoyable. Nice seasonal offering for winter time.
