Enjoyed from the tap at the 2011 Reserve Society party.

Looks like pineapple juice -- a light, caramel-tinged orange with a small, bubbly white ring.

Subtle tartness in the flavor mixed with the fruitiness of sweet pineapple and mangos.

The flavor: again, there's a delicate tart character and some mango, but some nice floral lavender emerges as well.

Medium-light prickly carbonation in a soft, medium-light body.

Not bad. 57 Wild has nice, sweet fruit flavors balanced with a moderate tart character. Not a standout, but an approachable sour.

Came out a real yellow and gold haze, light looking beer. Smelled of lemon.

Everyone who picks Hottenroth out of this is spot on. Seems like a stronger Hottenroth with a slight sourness and acidity to it. Very good, not a massive puckering sour. Hops aren't present in the profile. Would love to be drinking this and some Hottenroth around the pool, seems to be an easy access type of beer that could be liked by seasoned wild veterans, sour lovers and those new to the scene.

On tap at the Bruery Line Party.

Hazy golden orange pour with a small white head.

Big tart and lemony aroma with maybe a little wheatiness, like a Berliner weisse or something.

The flavor is somewhat lactic and mildly tart with a lot of lemon and orange, considerable herbal notes, maybe some spices or grains.

Medium-bodied with slight acidity and average carbonation. Pretty solid stuff overall.

Served from tap into a Bruery sampler imperial pint glass at the Reserve Society Party. Poured a massively hazy straw yellow with a minimal white head. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, sour, tart, and slight citrus. The flavor was of sweet malt, slight sour, slight tart, and wheat. It had a light feel on the palate with mild carbonation. Overall this brew was quite excellent. This had a pretty nice flavor and aroma to it. The sour flavor in this one was kind of light for my liking though unfortunately. Definitely still a must try without a doubt.

On-tap at the Bruery Reserve Society 2011 Celebration

A: The pour is an almost milky yellow/straw color with a big white head (so much so that they were decanting it and pouring from pitchers).

S: It's definitely fruity with some notes of apricot, peach, and lemon peel. There's a slight sweetness to it, almost like caramel, with a mild oak character. The tartness is there, but it's light.

T: Fairly dry and tannic, which is good. There's again some lemon zest to the beer and a slightly fruity flavor of apricot. There's a mild tartness to it as well, but it's not overly flavorful, I must say.

M: The body is medium with a high level of effervescence and a dry finish.

D: This seemed sort of like a take on Hottenroth, but not quite as good. It was like a beginner sour beer, one might say.

on tap at RS party

App- A light yellow, went from tap to pitcher as they were having some tap issues, little bit more foam than I would expected but was still decent.

Smell- From taking the biggest whiff I could, I got mostly sour notes on this one. Nothing else was really there. Could be my sense of smell were all over the place.

Taste- Very tasty & very delicious. I liked the Bruery's description. I'm not much of a sour fan but this was very good.

Mouth- Had elements of a couple different beers to it. Was smooth and drinkable with the nice sour taste on it.

Drink- I waited all day for this and was not dissapointed. A very tasty blend of Cuvee. Will have to seek out if they ever bottle.

Served on-tap at the Bruery Line Party...I mean R.S. initiation party. Reviewed from notes.

A - Pours murky yellow with a huge two finger tall white head, dissipating down to light film, leaving light wisps of lacing down the glass.

S - Smells of citric rind, most notably lemon and orange, light sweetness, and some dried fruit. The tartness is there but it isn't really over the top like some others in this style.

T - Flavors are pretty similar to the nose with hints of citrus fruits, light caramel sweetness, and some dried fruit, most notably apricot. The sourness comes thru a bit more here but it never really becomes overpowering, more of a light funkiness. Nothing too special, just a solid wild.

M - Medium body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Light puckering feel with some lingering acidity on the pallet.

D - Pretty good. I enjoyed this one but when you compared it to sour in the rye it was really no comparison. Still pretty good tho.

On tap at the Reserve Society Initiation Celebration 2011.

Hazy yellow gold with a wispy white head. Aroma is lemon, oak, and lactic sourness and Brett. Flavor is oak and lemon with some lactic notes and leather Brett character accompanying some hay and earthen notes. Dry mouthfeel, somewhat slick. Simple beer. Pretty good, a bit like Hottenroth.

Poured a hazy pineapple yellow with pale yellow highlights that had a thin head but left some lacing sticking to the glass. The aroma had some citrusy, fruity apples, and vinous wine notes with slight bretty funky character. The taste was also pleasently citrusy with more of the vinous wine character with fruity apple accents but did have mild oaky funky flavors and a touch of tart acidic notes that wasn't too sour. The brew was medium in body with a good amount of carbonation which had a citrusy, mild fruity, funky oaky, tart finish. I really enjoyed this brew and hopefully I get to try it again but it did drink good and wasn't overly acidic.

Pours a light layer of white head. Fades to a thin ring. Leaves a bit of lace. Color is a creamy, murky melon yellow.

Aroma: A mild sourness with a bit of tartness. Nothing over the top. Very fruity. Lemon, orange, and zest with some oak. Reminds me of JP.

Taste: Lemon acidicness and vinegar. Light spice and a bit of oak. Some tartness. Pretty fruity and funky. Vinegar.

Mouthfeel: Tart with a bit of sour. Light bodied with medium to high amount of carbonation. Ends clean with a little bit of sour.

Overall, an easy drinking sour. Reminds me of JP. Really drinkable for a hot summer day. I could see myself buying more of this if it was available.

On tap at the Bruery Reserve Initiation party 2011. The only description for this one was "Sour and Delicious", lets see. Pours a murky light apricot amber orange color with a nice bone white head. The aroma has some fruit notes like apricot, peach, raisin, and grape jelly. The taste is really nice but is rather sweet with flavors of peach and white raisin being most prevalent. Some sourness. Light mouthfeel.

On tap today at the Bruery Reserve Society Party. The first few hours were pretty rough, but once folks gave up on the lines, settled down, and/or had enough to drink it went a lot more smoothly.

Pours a yellowish gold, maybe a thin crust of a white head.

Smells faintly of lemon and orange rind, with a hint of ... hops? Hmm...not sure. Pretty mellow smell, doesn't bowl you over with acidity. Just a hint of "sour" on the aroma.

Taste is kind of a cross between Hottenroth and one of their wine based sours. Very mellow. Sour, but not a blistering citrus acetic punch to the face. Just kind of a lingering, lemon-y, berlinerweisse wheat zest character.

Nice light, refreshing mouthfeel.

Interesting. If moderately priced, would buy frequently (much like Hottenroth).

On-tap at the Provisions Store, excited to try this one named presumably after the legendary 57 Freeway,

A: Pours a pale hazy yellow, with a soft low medium white head, spotty lace.

S: Definitely more of a saison-type smell than a typical AWA. Lots of peppery spice, lemon, grassy hops.

T: Flavour is more AWA for sure. Nice bready BPA style pils malt with appealing lactic acidity, lemons, nice mild rustic hop character. Lots of complex secondary fruit characteristics (apricot, orange).

M: Easy on the palate, simple soft carbonation, refreshing.

D: Very good beer, I just wish it was more available to the masses that aren't in the Reserve Society.
