Appearance: Pours a deep, clear mahogany color with ruby highlights. About 1" of tan, slightly soapy looking head forms , which has decent retention and decent lacing. Nice color on this one.
Smell: Very pungent smell. Lots of tart and sweet cherries, a fair amount of vinegary sourness, lemon tartness and oak.
Taste: Cherry sweetness initially, followed by vinegar, lemon, and a fair amount of acidity. Tart cherries and oak follow on the back end and finish. Finish is fairly dry.
Mouthfeel/Overall: Fairly light, medium amount of carbonation. Pretty smooth. The initial sweetness is nice, but the sourness is a bit too much; too fake. Not my favorite of this style, but not bad either.
