Pours a light, slightly ruddy orange-ish brown. Fairly translucent. Rather surprised how different it looks compared to the base brew .... or maybe it was just that I was shining my one watt blue laser that I purchased from wickedlasers.com on it (wear your safety goggles). No bubbles. *sigh* Perhaps should have let this one sit at room temp a bit longer.
Smells fantastic, particularly as it warms. Dark currants, some plum-my raisin'ed cherries, a bit of tropical notes (guava?? ... I don't know, just kind of .... tropical ... almost pineapply ...) and, well, no dates. Or maybe that's the raisin'ish aroma. A bit of leathery funk and that recognizable acid/sour/vinegar/red wine base from marron, but this is clearly a different animal.
Tastes great. Insanely drinkable. The tropic and currant notes really stand out, and the plum/cherries/raisin background blended with the red/vinegar base makes what could otherwise be an overly caustic/sour beer lively and fresh. Some wood/oak notes as well and a bit, just a bit, of spider-webby sour funk.
Excellent. These wine-ish sours from The Bruery are just getting more and more interesting.
Could use a bit more bubbles.

Thanks to GregSVT for sharing this bottle at the Flying Saucer Beer Tasting.
The beer pours a hazy orange color with a white head. The aroma is full of dark fruit, with a lot of cherries, cranberries and blackberries. I also get a nice dose of brown sugar and some light tartness.
The flavor is also very nice. I get a lot of tart cherries and other dark fruit, as well as some nice oaked notes. I get a little bit of toffee as well as some light sweetness and brown sugar notes. The sweet and sour components go very well together.
The mouthfeel is relatively thin and the carbonation is pretty low. A very nice sour beer.

Poured out a brown and almost purple like color, thin beige head to it, less than 1/4" thick. Aroma was all kinds of sour and off the beaten path fruit. What is that pink agave, pear and cedar wood? Works nicely.
Really got to feel the difference between this and the marron acidifie in the taste, whereas marron had more of the brown ale, vinegar and wet wood vibe going, this one leads fully with the fruit mouthfeel, it just takes a lighter and fruitier and better sour vibe, with tartness. Might be some cranberry as well to this. Its that kind of tartness, i.e., not much sugar, high pucker.

Pours hazy yellow into a tulip glass. Slight, vigorous carbonation, not much head at all. Smell is very funky with a fruity, sweet aroma.
For a beer brewed with dates, that flavor is not very prevalent. The guava shows up with just an occasional hint. The alcohol is very well hidden. I could drink this all day, but the 9% abv would be a killer.

(A) Deep ruby color. Semi clear throughout. No shifting of hues at the edges. Really no head on it at all.
(S) Fruit and vinegar greet the nose. Some berries and cherry and a hint of orange are wrapped in the tart sourness. Reminded me of Marron Acifidifie a bit.
(T) The fruit greets you big up front. The guava comes through and followed by the berries and cherry that you are aware of. This beer had a bit of funk to offset the sourness and round out the taste. Some vinegar present. Slight booziness and not overly sweet.
(M) It's got a great medium body and the hit is sour but not overwhelming. Carbonation is present in the mouthfeel but not the appearance.
(O) This was a lot like Marron but had that extra little 'something'. Very good and glad I had the chance to try it.

Served at The Bruery Annaversary party. Poured into small 5oz taster glass. About 2.5oz sampled. Yes I was rincing my glass too. Reviewed from notes
Pours a dark amber color. Thin head dissapated fast to a ring. Little lacing.
Aroma has lots of funk and tartness at first. Some cherries and a bit of figs and caramel malt. Smells great.
Taste is tart and funky. Could use a bit more tartness so if you have a bottle maybe save it for a bit before you drink. Don't know if I completely like the dark fruits added to this version.
Mouthfeel is dry with a slight bitter finish. High carb.
Tasty but not worth the hype IMO. Yeah it's rare and kinda tasty but not worth what you would have to give up for a bottle because each reserve society member only got one.

Appearance: Slightly cloudy light to medium brown color with a reddish purple tint. Thin light beige head head that subsided fairly quickly.
Smell: Sour citrus fruit aromas, tart cherries. and a hint of the guavas come through.
Taste: Sour citrus fruits, with the guava fruit coming through more than in the nose. Some very mild leather notes with the oak from the bal-aging coming through in a fairly dry finish. More tart than sour.
Mouth-feel: Fairly light bodied with a fairly low level of carbonation. It works but I can't help but wonder if a little more carbonation would help the nose sparkle a bit more.
Overall: The guava and date additions definitely distinguish this from the regular Marron Acidifie with a more tropical fruit nature. Sampled well after the hype at the initial release, I feel this is a very solid Wild Ale, which I wouldn't mind seeing released again.

Big thanks goes out to StayWhatYouAre2 for sharing this one before he got married. Poured a golden yellow orange with a half finger white head that subsided to a minimal amount quickly. Maintained decent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, fruit, tart, sour, and very subtle funk. The flavor was of sweet malt, fruit, tart, sour, and subtle wood. It had a light feel on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this was a fairly good brew. The aroma on this one was the best part of this one for me. It was really well balanced and quite enjoyable. There was no sign of the alcohol at all in this one which was a good thing. Definitely could get in trouble with this one if you aren't careful.
