A: Pours a clear very dark amber (almost black) in color with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation some ruby red and orange highlights. Pours with a half finger tall sudsy head that quickly reduces to a couple of small patch of very thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of tart sour cherries.
T: Similar to the smell, this beer has strong flavors of tart sour cherries that dominates and lingers. Tart enough that it almost makes you pucker.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation. Significant amounts of acidic prickliness.
O: I'm a fan of sour beers and I really enjoyed this one but it is a pretty intense amount of sourness and not one for someone new to the style (it is almost overwhelming). This is not the easiest beer to drink but is one that can be slowly sipped for enjoyment.
