Thanks to eyebereej for this one. Reviewed from notes. Poured from bomber into a CCB pint glass.
A: Black and essentially opaque, with a thin, just off-white head. Minimal visible carbonation with a fair amount of floaties.
S: Tart, sour, a bit fruity, vinegary and vinous, with some oakiness and some dark sweetness/brown sugar.
T: Tart, puckering sour, tart cherries, some oaky sweetness, some citrus (lemon or grapefruit) sourness. Roasted malts lend just a bit of sweetness. Finish is puckering sour, that reminds me of eating a lemon slice, and dry.
M: Medium body, tingly mouthfeel. Minimal alcohol presence and moderate carbonation sensation.
O: I really enjoyed this beer, although the thick layer of chunky off-white sediment that formst on the bottom of the glass is a little strange. Overlooking that, though, this was thoroughly enjoyable, and recommended.
