The beer pours a dull darker amber brown topped by a halo of tightly knit, off white head that provides minimal lacing and fades quickly. The nose is potent, with distinct kumquat upfront (spicy, super citrusy) a little caramel sweetness, slightly sour and some funk. The taste is definitely similar to SitR, less sweet, more mature and citrusy, but has a lingering citrus that's far more potent than the regular. It's light-medium bodied, citrusy, sour and dry, acidic, slightly undercarbonated, and definitely drinkable. Tried this side by side with the regular, definitely dig the kumquat citrus addition.

Notes from a bottle share last weekend (thanks Luke!).
APPEARANCE: Medium amber, hazy pour. Strong head that settles quick.
AROMA: Tart, funky smell that I knew would be there when we opened the bottle, but I wasn't expecting based on the color (I've been drinking too many geuzes and other wild ales lately). The kumquat is front and center on this one, bringing lots of tropical fruity citrus. Strong rye character and a little bit of bubblegum.
TASTE: Quite tart. Lots of citrus and other tropical fruit. You could tell me they squeezed the kumquats into the bottle and I would believe it. Minimal rye - I was expecting a bit stronger presence of it. There's low levels of bitterness reminiscent of green apples. Also a tiny hint of plastic.
MOUTHFEEL: Lots of carbonation and a little bit acidic, probably from all that citrus. It leaves a lingering bitterness but it's refreshing.
OVERALL: Another great Bruery sour. I'm more into the geueze flavor at the moment, but this was fantastic. I wouldn't mind drinking this on a warm evening. :D
