A: Pours a murky dark mahogany in color. The beer has a half finger tall dark tan head that slowly reduces to a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: The aroma of this beer is all bourbon - caramel and toffee sweetness with oak, vanilla, and burnt sugar. Moderate amounts of alcohol present in the aroma of this beer as well. There are very light hints of light fruits which show up as the beer warms.
T: Like the smell, the taste of this beer is dominated by the flavors of bourbon - sweetness is contributed by malts with the flavors of caramel and toffee with some light fruits as well. There are lighter elements of bourbon, vanilla, burnt sugar, and oak in the taste as well. Moderate hints of alcohol is present.
M: Medium to heavy bodied with light amounts of carbonation. Smooth with light amounts of alcohol heat in the finish.
O: Makes a great pairing with dessert after a meal - matches really well with rich chocolate, very complementary flavors. You don't need a large pour of this beer and it is one meant to be very slowly sipped over quite a bit of time... Would probably be great with a cigar sitting by a fireplace.

750ml waxed bottle poured into balloon snifter 14/6/14, cheers Adam for sharing (from notes)
A clear brownish amber, a couple bubbles under a thin film, not much for lace but some wide legs going down the side
S vanilla, lots of sweet bourbon, a pile of brown sugar, a little wood, raisins, there's some booze but very well hidden all things considered, faint molasses, caramel galore, more vanilla and bourbon, more like a liqueur then beer but its working wonders for me
T thankfully it mimics the smell, vanilla, bourbon, caramel, its sweet but manageable, tastes as good as it smells
M thick and syrupy, a little heat but I'd never guess its over 15%, sticky on the lips and a sweet woody finish
O all the important parts are well taken care of, smells and tastes awesome, a little sweet and boozy but its a minor complaint
I'd lay this down for a decade if I had a bottle, drinking well now but this one will be something special down the road, I'm just happy I got to try it today, delicious stuff
