Poured into a perfect pint. Big thanks to bigsippin for helping this get to me.

3.0 A: Murky light amber color. Two and a half fingers of foamy off-white head. Retention is pretty good, but just a tiny ring of lacing is left.

3.0 S: Dry graininess. Minerals. Toasty and bready malts. Pepper from the yeast and a touch of clove. Other than this spiciness, this smells a hell of a lot more like an English mild than any sort of Belgian brew.

2.0 T: While the nose could pass as an English mild, the taste can't really pass as anything. Bready and toasty with an overabundant yeastiness. Minerals again. The spiciness in the nose is hard to track down in the taste. Too much yeast taste without enough "beer taste."

3.0 M: Medium to heavier medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Yeasty chewiness, perhaps too much actually.

2.5 D: Not a big fan of this. I go to the Bruery for big, sticky boozy beers, not 4.7% Belgians. Glad I only got one bottle of this.

Nice red and brown color, some ruby edges to it, soft off white head, only about 3/8" in depth.

Aroma was a nutty maltiness, almost like a red ale, but then it had a very faint Belgian aroma, super mild banana to it, dang, why can't hefe producers makes them something a little more restrained yeastwise like this is.

Very mild flavor profile. Its there. It still shares some characteristics flavorwise comparable to a red ale. But a belgian red with belgian yeast. Cereal grains. No hops, but a weird bitter bite to it, unwelcome in a low abv mild beer like this. Very bready cereal type stuff going on, even if the thickness and viscosity still remains in session country.

A little dark fruit aspect in the mouthfeel. Some spice accoutrement that isn't welcome. Dark candy additions. Complex, yet mild, yet not mild enough. I don't see this beer being made again. I'd frankly prefer the Ovila Dubbel to this any day.
