On-tap at Beachwood I,
A: Pours a vibrant fuschia to dark magenta with a medium rocky white head, some solid head retention.
S: Pie like with some crust notes and raspberries.
T: Delicious, sweet raspberry and rhubarb come through; it really does taste like liquid pie which is impressive. Very well done.
M: Medium to full-bodied with a moderate acidity. Certainly does not feel like a beer over 10%.
O: One of the better new brews from these guys in a while, glad it showed up at Sour Fest, well worth a purchase.

I really enjoyed this beer. Outstanding aromas and flavors of rhubarb, and to a lesser extent, raspberry. The ruhbarb is extremely tart (in a good way) and the raspberry lends a bit of sweetness to the mix- nothing artificial or off here at all- clean, pure flavors that sing on the palate. The barrel aging comes through as a spiciness on the finish that further complements the tartness and sweet. I don't get much of the buttery pie crust until the very late finish, where it suddenly blossoms. This beers makes me rethink the rhubarb/ sweet fruit ratio- I think that the next time I use rhubarb, I'll let its sourness shine more.
